I'll have to see it again but if I remember they touched gloves twice and hugged at that point. How many times does Ortiz need to touch gloves with Mayweather after his cheap shot?

Nope.

I am not a fan of Mayweather and how he acts outside of the ring but I respect his amazing boxing skills and am tired of all the horsecrap from Manny fanboys about Floyd being scared.

I hope that Floyd knocks-out Manny and then goes on to lose every fight after that.

He may be on his bike but with his speed and boxing ability I think he would easily end up winning.

I don't doubt Mayweather is a good boxer, because he is. What's frustrating about the guy is, he really isn't doing himself any favours by picking and choosing his opponents. He can have all the skill in the world, but if he doesn't use it against the best opposition, he's going to get criticized. And rightly so too IMO.

Ortiz is a little bitch who wanted to kiss Pretty Boring some more. Like seriously how much kissing do we need to see in the ring?

Just pathetic to watch his reaction after the fight.

The only way Floyd can knock out Manny is if he gets Margarito's trainer to fill his gloves with cement. ahhahaha.

Floyd is scared. just go look at the guys he has fought. all scrubs or guys past their prime.

I hope it happens so that boxing can finally die.

I like boxing but the boxing is pathetic right now and there are exactly 0 interesting fights.

But boxing people keep holding out that the Manny-Mayweather fight is the big thing that will bring it back.

At least when that fight is done all they will have is whining about MMA and continuing to make up lies and total BS about what MMA is.

I think Ortiz, for whatever reason, mentally gave up in the 4th. I don't know if he was mentally weak or what. He had no reason to give that headbutt. It was so blatant, it looked like something from a Street Fighter game. That sucker punch though was such a surreal moment. I don't know what Ortiz was thinking there. But man, I still think Cortez should be fired for that bush league reffing job. He had no control of either fighter.

The guys is a quitter. Maidana showed the world how big of a coward he is.

Some poster on here was commending Floyd fight some 'younger' fighters out there in a thread a few months back.

Floyd is boring but he isn't stupid. He chose Ortiz for a reason. he sucks.

As I said earlier I think Ortiz knew his only chance was a lucky punch.

After facing Mayweather for 3.5 rounds he realized even that wasn't going to happen.

People can hate Mayweather and the way he fights all they want but it is hard to argue that it wouldn't be incredibly frustrating to face him especially knowing that you somehow have to hit him with a clean shot or he will just outbox you all day.

I dunno, for all it's criticism, I still prefer watching boxing over MMA. But I guess I'm in the minority.

As for boxing going away, I don't think MMA will ever replace boxing because people who control all the betting in Vegas won't let it go away. It's simply a more predictable sport to handicap vs. MMA IMO.

I meant go away from the mainstream. SO I don't have to hear about it on sports talk radio or shows like PTI.

Outside of Mayweather and Pacquaio there is really nothing about the sport that interests me anymore.

I think the Klitschko have fought some fights over the past few years but I couldn't tell who they fought or how they won because it really doesn't matter or is interesting.

If boxing could get some interesting fighters or more importantly interesting match-ups perhaps I would have more interest but as of now it is really blah to me.

But I also love MMA so that probably affects my view of boxing.

Im a big Floyd fan, with that being said, after a hour of talk with some friends who watched it with me we agreed on:

- Ortiz said floyd was coming at him and he reacted by leaning fwd. Replay shows floyd was never coming at him and it was a 100% purpose cheap shot by Ortiz.

- Floyd was obviously rattled and never even accepted the initial apology. When they came back together floyd never touched gloves with him as he was that upset about the cheap shot.

- Floyd won the fight fair and square (according to the rule book) but no champion should ever win a fight the way he did.

- As big of a Floyd fan as I and so many others are, if he does not accept the Manni fight after this he will loose me as a die hard fan. A re match does not cut it in my books. Fight manni and then fight Ortiz again and then retire.

- Larry showed professionalism after the fight when interviews alone however during the floyd interview he lost control and did not respond the way a true interviewer like he is would.

Anyone else just on the edge of their seat waiting for a floyd or fifty right hand when Larry was pushing him back? Might have been the only thing that made me feel like I got my moneys worth.

Shouldnt Ortiz have been disqualified after the head butt?

Seems pretty cheap that he still had a chance to win the fight after a stunt like that.

The single point penalty was pretty weak, it should have been two imo. Although I think Mayweather got him back....
