They really should have just ended the show. It was already losing steam for me with Jake as a teen - it was way funnier when he was a kid.
If they wanted to keep it going, they should have got a young kid to replace Jake and started again. Even then though I see it as a failure with Ashton Kucher.
And how are they going to get that doofus Mr. Moore in? The illegitimate child of Charlie? Just in time to take over his house and royalties and mack the bitches and continue to make Alan's life miserable?
Seriously, that show had it's moments, but those moments were long ago. The first couple years were pretty good, what with the hot chicks and the not overly clever jokes. But come on, that sniveling loser Alan starts banging a smoking hot 20 year old? The show should have ended whatever season was before that. The last few times I've bothered to stop on that show while clicking away, it was the same joke in a different situation. Charlie goes downstairs in the morning, Alan sets himself up for a burn, Charlie brags about the ###ayjay he got, hot chick enters and then leaves, Alan hates life and Charlie doesn't care about anything. The episodes are more identical than Nickleback songs.
Yes, it has lost something over the years, but I still find it mildly amusing personally. It was definitely better in the first couple of seasons, I'll give you that.
type of show that I won't seek out but if I flip on a rerun or whatever it's usually enjoyable, I really don't like Ashton Kutcher though so who knows now
not the best comedy on tv in my opinion, but not as bad as it's made out to be because ripping popular things is the 'in' thing to do
Two and a Half Men is my "I'm on a plane, I guess I'll watch it" show. I've never watched a show on solid ground. Same goes for The Mentalist.

Its not a show I sought on the dial but I'd watch it occasionally for the hot babes and the juvenile toilet humour . . . . . just like everyone else.
Sheen's more recent real-life history dribbled my exposure to zero.
I'll be tuning in to see the Aston Kutcher transition though . . . . should be interesting. However, in the end, I think you'll still see hot babes and juvenile toilet humour as the primary driver. That's what butters the bread.

Yeah. 2 seaons ago (09-10) The Big Bang Theory was the number one show on TV, and it got there because 2.5 Men preceded it. This past season, (10-11) CBS basically built their schedule around The Big Bang Theory by moving it to Thursday. Mike & Molly one of only a couple new shows that didn't crash last year. Blah blah blah, point is, people need to look at TV ratings and what Chuck Lorre's shows are currently doing for CBS, before throwing out guesses for 2.5 Men's cancellation date.
I despise sitcoms. Same played out jokes the writers have been churning out over and over, seems they havn't changed since the 70s right down to the white bread humour and horrible delivery. Was stuck in a room once when this show was on, as bad as I expected.
i just can't watch shows with laugh tracks anymore, it's like the show realizes that it's not funny so it says "HEY HERE IS WHERE THE FUNNY PART IS SUPPOSED TO BE". there are far too many quality comedy shows out right now that are actually funny and don't rely on canned laughter for me to waste any time with this. same with Big Bang Theory
Just watching it right now and I can already say I'm not very impressed. Although I wasn't expecting it to be very good, I highly doubt it will last more than a season.
