Go with the Homer Simpson method of advertising, hire a guy to stand out front firing off a shotgun while yelling "Open house!".

I think you should go with Cowboy's beer tub type girls waving at the passing cars wearing completely inappropriate clothing.
That'd get my attention....

I would pay attention to these things if those twirling sign kids were tossing around the wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man™ machine. That would be boss.

We put one out in front of our dealership on Saturdays, (yes, shocking for a car dealership, I know) and the only thing I would advise against is the fact that they are LOUD. Not something that would work well in a quiet neighborhood, and would take away from any serenity around the home. Probably not the greatest idea for that application. Plus they aren't cheap, ours cost about 1200 bucks... albeit it is about 20 feet tall.

If they are loud then it is 100% out of the picture!

Something like this would surely grab attention.
Does anyone know where this can be done locally?
I found this site : http://inflateitadvertising.com/ and the rates seem pretty good however I prefer local for something like this.

Forget that, you can never go wrong with Topless dancing Strippers that would surely grab attention.

Go with a wacky waving real arm flailing sign flipper. They're slightly less annoying than a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man, but equally distracting. And if I recall correctly, they're former homeless people--you might get be able to snag one for a bargain.

I applaud your attempts to do something different - I'm getting ticked at the glorified call taker and mls data entry types I've dealt with. That I could do myself. I'm looking for agents to do more than that.
That said, this would be a pretty tacky way to go IMHO. One step up from a 14yr old twirling and spinning an arrow shaped sign around. Fine if you're trying to sell hot tubs or used cars (sorry Pylon) but a house? Not for me.

I like the sign spinning guy way better than this. The guy who is always in Crowfoot crossing spinning for the pizza places and whatnot is hilarious.
