Just For Kicks. Pretty interesting doc actually. Talks about the endorsement game, and the huge place of the hip hop culture in the industry.

I want these, but will never be able to afford them if it is infact an ebay auction.

I think they're beautiful. My favorite movie trilogy of all time. I'd wear them every day.

Is Nike only producing 1500 pairs, which are all going to be auctioned off on eBay for the MJF Foundation, or is Nike auctioning off only 1500 pairs for the MJF Foundation? I've read both scenarios.

The stupid thing is that these shoes will never even be worn, lol. I just don't understand collectors.
Still it's a pretty cool idea, and even cooler it's for charity.

From the auction FAQ:
Q: WERE THE 2011 NIKE MAG SHOES USED IN THE FILM BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II ?
The 2011 NIKE MAG shoes are movie prop replicas inspired by the Nike shoes appearing in the 1989 film Back to the Future Part II. The 2011 NIKE MAG shoes are not designed or intended for normal wear and use as footwear.
Q: DO THE 2011 NIKE MAG SHOES POWER-LACE?
No. For the power-lace feature you will have to wait until 2015.

What's the point then? It's like a burrito that's not intended for eating.

They knew these things would sell at ridiculous prices and they didn't put in a power-lace system? Weak.
