if you look at my registration date, I registered a little while ago, not today, just didn't post til now. I don't recall old jokes, I recall jokes from lurking a short while ago and seeing the dude's thread about the pop.

I do posting binges. I'll post a lot one day and not post for a week or longer then come back and post binge again. It's 30 degrees out (too hot), I'm sick of reading Robertson Davies detail the differences between religious denominations in pre-Trudeau Christian Canada, and I'm on two pots of coffee. To be fair, if you google "calgarypuck bingo wolven" it's one of the top 2 hits outside of this thread. And Option84's topics are easy to do a search for.

Honestly, don't see him as a new member. Leads me more to believe that the TC is more of a frequent forum-goer than anything as he knows all the tools of forums.

Welcome TC. Some things to note:
- "Fata" is commonly a replacement word for f--- and also represents a repeated thread (as a member, months after occuring, made a topic about Rico Fata on waivers)
- There is always a scapegoat. Currently, it's Bouwmeester, Stajan, or Kiprusoff...depending on who you ask
- Option84 topics must have someone discuss the price of pop at liquor stores

Welcome to the forum. I'd say cut your sig height in half myself, but I guess if the system is not restricting the height it's your call. Just a lot of members hate how the page scrolling length for 20 posts doubles because of people's sigs. I guess I could always turn "show sigs" off somewhere.

4. Thou shalt be considerate of others when posting images or large posts.

• Avatars must be no larger than 64px by 64px and 20KB. Animated GIFs are ok, but not if they cause seizures.
• Signatures must be no larger than 400px wide by 150px tall. Some extra text is ok, but try to keep it about that high. Signature file sizes should be about 200KB maximum, though if you have an excellent animated one that's under 1MB we may consider allowing it.
• Posted images should small enough to fit in the window without having to scroll and download is a reasonable time. Once you get bigger than 800px wide and/or 150KB in size, consider linking the image instead, or at the very least put a warning in the thread title.
• Host your own images where possible, and definitely host your own signature images; we generate enough traffic that it can significantly impact some sites. See the help forum for help in hosting your own images.
• Keep your post length reasonable and easy to read. No one wants to read 100 lines of text with no paragraphs or punctuation.
• Try and keep your quotes focused. No one wants to see 4 nested quotes before your reply. Quote the part of the post you are replying to, and edit out previous responses.

Learn how to embed a youtube video. Use the search function if you have to. I hate when people just put the link and say they don't know how to embed. In the time it took you to type that, you could have found out how. Myself, I use the Go Advanced button, then click the youtube button, then paste in the youtube code between the youtube brackets.

In the funny/cool thread, have a quick look to see if it's been posted before. Chances are it has. At least look at the last day or two and/or use the search function.

Change the number of posts per page to 60 and switch so you don't view any signatures. It cleans things up nicely.
