The only negative in SCTV's history was that one season was filmed in Edmonton :P

My favorite as a kid was Harold Ramis, but that's probably because I associated him with Egon from Ghostbusters.

I loved their short commercials for fake TV shows more than anything. There was one for The Young and the Wrestling. Or The Silly #######.

I could see how Kristen Wiig's dramatic character Mindy Grayson on SNL's Secret Word might be based on Sondra Wicks "the first lady of Canadian theater".

Does anyone know what the brass theme that always plays in SCTV's version of the towering inferno?

It's been in my head for 20 years and I swear I heard it elsewhere.

He does of reading from St. Paul to the Ephisians.
