I just bought a boat, so I too am interested in some info!

My parents have a place in Invermere, so I'm looking for a marina over there as well.

Biggest lakes by area in the USA:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...States_by_area

Great Salt Lake is 1700 square miles on average, but is salt water.

Lake Tahoe is one square mile smaller than Flathead Lake.

Devils Lake in North Dakota is larger than both.

Not sure about a marina but the best boat launch is at the bayshore condos by the railroad tracks in town

Flathead Lake is the largest fresh-water natural (non-man-made) lake west of the Mississippi. Lanny McDonald owns a summer house and a bar/brewery there.

If you want a small warm lake, go to Tie Lake. Lots of boaters/wake boarders. The lake is only 15ft deep. It can get pretty warm. It's just up from Jaffray.

If you haven't found the answer to this by Monday, let me know and I'll take a drive past there to see.

We're probably going to head down to Flathead (without the boat) in a week or two to just scope things out/check out boat launches & camping spaces. When we were there in February we didn't really have a chance to look around.

What is the name of that lake/pond on the way to Hanna? It gets the warm water from the power plant, it really really warm for an Alberta lake.
