Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has revealed Luka Modric asked not to be selected for the match against Manchester City.

Redknapp said after the defeat: "Luka came to me at 11.30 this morning and said to me, 'I don't feel my head is right today'. I said, 'I feel you need to play today, Luka. I need you to play. You need to come and play
Pathetic.

he's scum

I hope he goes

I have nothing wrong with a player wanting to move on really, as long as he does it right, Chelsea are going to triple his wages and if someone came and offered to triple mine I would leave as well. It's not as though he has a real tie to the club.

But the way he is going about it is absolutely pathetic, refusing to play in 1 game, asking to not play in another. He and Chelsea deserve each other

I cant be the only sick of both Modric and SSN 'Arry. I wouldnt be sad to see both of them gone.

I figured one of Crouch or Modric would be gone today. Personally, I'm glad it is Crouch. I might be a huge HNS supporter, but I'm beyond pissed at the crap Modric has pulled. I never thought he would be the kind of player to do that, especially after he proved himself early in this career, when Hajduk Split didn't want him. I always thought he was a humble guy.

As we say in Croatian, "Slava mu pukla u glavu".

I don't blame Spurs fans if/when the boo him.

Sounds like Bassong is off to QPR. Fine by me. Sunderland are in on Pav, who I also would have no problem with selling or sending out on loan.

With Gyan reportedly handing in a transfer request, and with Tottenham having interest in Gyan in the past, I wonder if a Pav for Gyan transfer swap could be in the works.

1821: It would appear that Totttenham are clearing the decks for the arrival of Bolton defender Gary Cahill. Time is running out for that one to go through, but then we know Harry Redknapp likes to leave things late, doesn't he?

if/when crouch goes to Stoke I don't see Pav leaving without another striker coming in

Ade, Defoe would be the only senior strikers on the side, need at least 3

Here we go again:

In all honesty I'd be fine with bringing him in. With Bale being more than capable of hitting a decent cross, it'd be nice to bring in a guy who could do it from the other side. I'm quickly tiring of Lennon.

Is there a Uefa Cup thread?

Shamrock Rovers are winning one-nil, and their support at WHL has been awesome.

Spurs have equalised. How they arent winning by at least 6 is beyond me.

But the Rovers' support has been incredible.

if Pav/Gio could finish at all it would be 7-1
