Hm an extra monitor might be interesting, or at least have a cable handy.

I've got a 32" CRT for it, so we'll see how that goes. Have to get a video card with SVIDEO out though.

Which was common enough a few years ago. I probably have some in a drawer somewhere if you need one.

Nage Waza, LCDs will work but as I said earlier in the thread, to my eyes it doesn't reproduce the arcade effect and you might as well just be maming on your computer without going through the effort of building a cab.

On a MAME machine, short of using an actual classic CRT, is there any way of accurately replicating the scanline interlaced effect of classic games? I find that the filters in MAME don't seem to do this satisfactorily and you either are left with some bad looking interpolation or the software putting a bunch of black lines on the screen that don't have the correct pitch and separation of a real CRT.

I have a new Nivida 7800GT NIB that I'm pretty has S-Video out.

Pretty sure this is it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130238

It's yours if you want it - I will ship it your way or if you want to wait a month I will give it to my in-laws to bring back to Calgary after a visit here.

I found it really easy to take a old 26" TV and decase it. Made some brackets out of L-brackets and it fit perfectly into the pre existing golden tee mounts. Just make sure tv has s video and its an easy connection

Yeah the GT cabinet I got from Gobsgraham has the bracket and mounts and everything and I got the TV from him too, so it fits great, just need the video card.

Thanks cKy, I'll let you know if I need it.

Yeah Stang, go get it! I don't think it will fit in my car. Save a cabinet from going to the dump!

Time and materials might be worth the 6 hours for a good cab.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
