That seems like a scene from Spinal Tap mixed with Napoleon Dynamite.
It comes from a documentry called 'Dig' which is about the band, their relationship with the Dandy Warhols and the ill fated tour they attempt, it is a great film, the band is wholly effed up, the lead singer/songwriter is clearly mentally ill, and strung out on smack, and a brilliant songwriter. Each show culminates in a punch up of some sort.
I respect Grohl's right to call somebody out, but Grohl's grasp of the English language seems a bit poor. He goes on for about 5 minutes but can only string together some combination of the same 6 words.
I think you can chalk that up to iTunes, and whomever was trigger happy on the censor button. I'm sure most of what he was saying that was bleeped was appropriate for all audiences, where as most of what wasn't... wasn't.
Dave Grohl has had a phenomenal career post Nirvana. I don't think its an issue with him at all.
I dunno, seems like he's over compensating...multiple bands, multiple instruments, a not-crazy wife, a documentary....what's next, a Dave Grohl breakfast cereal?

Am I the only one that found that incredibly lame? Dave Grohl is a great drummer and all but that was stupid.
I have to agree. It was like watching someone get reamed out by their dad. Huge power trip. He used to be part of Nirvana now he is my junior high principle when I was 14...slightly more swearing I guess.

Big Grohl fan and I found it awkward...mainly because I've never seen him do anything like that. Just seemed out of character. Whatever though...maybe he was in a bad mood?

You don't think he is a great drummer? Check out his work with Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures, you might change your opinion.

Sorry, misenterpreted your point. I thought you were trying to downplay his work with the Foo Fighters, and trying to imply that he's only famous as being the drummer of Nirvana. My bad.
I think he's a great drummer, and get a little giddy every time he steps behind a kit in any capacity. Like at Wembley Stadium a few years ago, when he stepped behind the drums to play Rock 'N Roll with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, with Taylor Hawkins taking lead vocals.
