I read an article in the Herald the other day about how apt managers are using DNA to fine occupants whose dogs crap on their property. Willing to bet bylaw officers will have something similar.

I say you get a picture of him doing it and make a flyer. Wrap the crap up in the flyer along with a note that says if you catch him doing it again you're going to post the flyers up all over the neighborhood. Leave it on the hood of his car.

Put up the flyers the following week regardless.

I like the video camera option, but take it a step further. Video the dog taking a crap, done. Get a friend to follow you at a distance, and approach the guy. Get him all riled up to the point where he assaults you, all nicely caught on camera.

Profit.
