Got two great photos, me, the Missus and my son on the beach in St. Kilda (35c - so a few degrees warmer inland) 4 hours before our flight to London UK.

The next is outside our house in 20cm of snow and -6c. Now THAT is a 'cool change'!

couple months ago in Barbados it was +52 the one day I was there. I am going back next week, and two nights ago at 11pm it was sitting at +39.

so it could be interesting. Its not bad when you can sit in the ocean all day though.

I'm not a big summer person either. I much prefer cold weather and snow. I hate sweating my balls off in this ridiculous humidity. It's a slow suffocating death.

Have there been many heat related deaths down there DFF?

P.S. were you the one who caused the site to crash with constant weather updates?

I'm always amazed when you see people in the Middle East in heavy jackets in 30+ temperatures.

Not a big fan of heat. If it could stay about 25 in the sun, 20 in the shade with a cool breeze for 6 months of the year I'd be in heaven. Fall is the best season of the year bar none.

That said - at least here in Calgary we don't get humidity. There is a massive world of difference between 35+ dry and 35+ humid. This is one of many reasons I will never ever live in Southern Ontario.

Haven't heard of any deaths so far. Have to force people to work out in it tomorrow though. Yuck.

No, my figurative balls.... or my metaphoric balls.... Not sure which it would be, but just know I don't have balls. Well, none attached to my own body. I'd like to think I own my man friends balls.

I'd love the chance to hate summer, we just never seem to get it here.

Drowning here in Summer's Cauldron
Under mats of flower lava
Please don't pull me out this is how I would want to go
Breathing in the boiling butter
Fruit of sweating golden inca
Please don't heed my shout I'm relax in the undertow

When Miss Moon lays down
And Sir Sun stands up
Me I'm found floating round and round
Like a bug in brandy
In this big bronze cup
Drowning here in Summer's Cauldron

Short memory, eh? We had a few summer days last week. Now ride those out until we get our next ones in August...

Just a measely 105 today for the high. None of my carriers had died as of 5:15 PM. It's going to be a crisp 99 tomorrow. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
