I had what sounds like a similar pain in my foot from new shoes. The doc said I had tendonitis in my foot. Ice and rest helped.

You just know that if he goes to a doctor with this, he'll have his pants around his ankles and be part of a doctor sponsored puppet shows about 10 minutes after he's arrived.

Exactly what I was going to say. I went on a 20km hike one day and by the time I got back, my foot was killing me. Long walks, new shoes can cause this. I think you basically roughed up on of the tendons in your foot causing pain. I've had to deal with it a couple times and neither time was there any discolouration or swelling.

Weird. I bought new shoes on Monday, woke up Wednesday with minor foot pain. Today, pain is way worse and I can't walk without limping. My pain is slightly above my toes. I can drive and wiggle toes without much pain, but walking is a different story.

Just call healthlink 543-link, if it's not serious they'll tell you how to get better and you don't have to waiste your time at the docs...if it 'could' be serious they'll tell you to go to a hospital in 'x' number of hours, or see a doc in 'x' number of days.

lindsay lohan had the same issue - do you have an electronic monitoring device around your ankle?

This got me thinking to a video we had to watch in high school about the myths of HIV and AIDS. I still remember an interview with a white preppy kid from deep southern US. To his knowledge "only gays, blacks and hispanics can get AIDS".

The entire class, including the teacher, was just howling.
