If anyone would like an invite I am more than happy to provide your fix.
Just throw me a PM. I'll create a Calgary Puck stream for anyone I invite here.

Facebook has access to your personal information.
Google has access to your personal information, your surfing habits, your purchasing habits, your email...
I received an invite, but so far haven't had the inclination to actually sign up. I really don't need another social network to manage? (though as a web developer, hopefully Google's API will be more sane then Facebooks...)

Boy, the general stream gets to be a noisy place if you follow people with lots of followers who comment a lot...a bit like drinking from the firehose. Twitter is like a small drip comparatively, since you don't see the back and forth as much.

Google+ currently reminds me of what I envision Facebook would look like after the rapture (if there was such a thing) - ie: 10 people I know are using it and no one is posting because they've got more important stuff to do.

So far I like it. Love the concept of circles and sparks.

I have been using it for a bit. To me it feels more like Twitter than Facebook.
I like how easy it is to manage the groups and the video chat seems neat but I don't have a camera so I can't comment on it.
Things that are missing or broken.
- Built in event management. I use this many times a month to organize events.
- The ability to send a quick private message, to a person or small group.
- I don't like the sparks... Almost just like a quick link to a search, I like the "like" feature better in Facebook.
- The stream has many issues, Just go follow someone that is super active on google+, it will make the stream almost useless.

It should be free to everyone now (well it was yesterday and saturday morning when my wife and I joined up).
It really reminds me of FriendFeed, which Facebook gobbled up a few years ago. I enjoy the circles aspect as it's easier to differentiate between Friends, Family and Randoms. So far the only thing I've seen people post is random questions about how it works or rehashing what they already post on twitter/facebook.
It'll be interesting to see how it evolves. Apparently Business pages are launching in less than two weeks... So we'll see what the brings to the table.

ALL ABOARD!

Right now it seems like it's only a way for me to connect further with people of like-minded interests; web and graphic design in my case. Like c.t.ner says, it's an extension of Twitter for me. Facebook is primarily family and friends.
I'm not sure how my business would benefit from having a Google Plus page. It barely has a Facebook page. I'm not sure I need another page/service to keep updated.

I was in Seattle Washington yesterday and was filling up the car at a gas station in Bellevue in some suburb off the I-5. In the gas station there was a sign saying "follow us on Facebook the Bellevue Corner Shell Station" and thought to myself that Facebook will be another relic.
