Sorry to hear that. Ever heard of Prince's Island Park? Stephen Avenue? Riverwalk? 17th? Kensington? Inglewood?
Last place I'd want to stroll on a Saturday is the mall.

Oh yes, the wife has already mentioned this one several times. I'm sure I'll be dragged there often. Her sister lives in Red Deer and drives up quite often to go here.
From the sounds of it, Market Mall is the pure winner in this thread based on proximity to me, so I'm sure we will spend quite a few Saturday's there.

Another reason why I avoid it. Plus their foodcourt sucks.
Ruby Thai in the South Centre foodcourt is the best mall food I've ever had.
The Bang Bang Chicken and Spicy Shrimp with Vermicelli rocks!

I heard Saturdays are ending.
Everyone knows about those places and of course they're worthy of going to, but he's just asking about malls.
Good grief.

i used to work at sunridge and hated it, but i suggest market mall or cross iron if you like to go for a walk, Cross Iron Mills has a nice coffee place Timothys world coffee which is pretty open in the mall, weekends are pretty busy though

Each mall caters to a different demographic so it depends on your style of taste and budget.
I'd say Chinook could break a few wallets while CrossIron Mills is more budget friendly. Isn't Chinook one of the top three malls in Canada after Toronto Eaton Centre and Yorkdale, both in Toronto?

Please frequent one of the city malls and not that vapid hell-hole Cross Iron Mills. That's pretty much the death of humanity, that place. Ugh.

The core shopping centre (TD Square-Holt Renfrew) renovation has really turned that mall around. Definitely the nicest in the city and will be even better once Devonian Gardens is complete.
I like malls with stacked floors like the Core or Toronto's Eaton Centre, much more efficient than being sprawled over the length of a KM like Market Mall or Chinook. Like Bigtime said too, having Stephen Ave there too right beside the mall adds a nice supplement to a shopping trip.

Well if you are renting the place that I think you are, then Chinook will be just as "close" as Market Mall. More km's but just as fast to get to as long as you don't head on Deerfoot during rush hour.

So you are either both teenagers who are under the legal drinking age and therefore hangout at the mall by default, or you are those super old people who line up at the mall doors before it's open so you can drink cheap coffee.

Come say Hi if you see me walking around the mall. I'm pretty recognizable because I'm the guy hating life whilst shopping.

In that case, the malls to go to are North Hill and Westbrook! Those places are the everymans retirement home.
