Easily my favourite course I took at U of C. I think I took it with Kevin Young? He was a wicked prof, he could really keep your attention and engage the class. Plus all of the info covered was just really interesting, I think that's the only class where I ever read the entire textbooks cover to cover.

This is good advice. I took a number of first year langauges: Japanese, Russian, Italian and German. Came in handy while backpacking through Europe, if you know what I mean...

GRST 211 Technical Terms of Medicine and the Life Sciences was a joke as long as you have a good memory. You didn't have to come to lectures, basically you wrote several quizes and the exams where you basically match up a greek or latin word with its english meaning.

I recommend taking anything with Patrick Finn, the actual courses can be interesting, but the guy is an awesome professor. He teaches Drama and Fine Arts, and he'll help as much as possible to get you an A. But if you want to do dick all, he will tear you a new one in a public forum and it's going to be hilarious.

Its not good, only good part of the class was talking to Kelley Rhudy.

The prof was a major dick.

i didn't find it too bad....if i remember right the tests were pretty easy and he tended to emphasize things he'll test you on during lectures.

I'm taking Sociology of Sport with Kevin Young in the Winter.

I had Kevin Young for two sociology courses. He was a nightmare for the Sociology of Deviance, but was outstanding for the Sociology of Sport. And you're right...the tests weren't too hard. If you take good notes in the class, you should be fine.

Drama 571. I think an 8 year old would get an A+. You can also repeat it for credit, and no, you don't have to do any performing or anything like that. The topics change, and it can be repeated for credit, but the one I took I think was called "Love and Happiness". LOL.

Awesome course with that professor. You can expect a pretty cool guest speaker or two. Kelly Hrudey came and talked to us in one lecture as I believe is pretty common.

Don't slack off in the class though. Be sure to read the textbook in additional to paying attention in lectures and you'll do fine. His exams go far beyond his lectures from my experience.

It is all about the prof and not about the course. I've dropped a course after a week that was supposed to be an easy A because the prof was crazy and then taken it with a different prof and actually gotten an A.

I can't remember if it is a geology or geography, but it is called History of the Rocky Mountains. Super easy!
