Penny doesn't do it for me either. Sheldon's sister Missy FTW (shame she's not in it more)

Liked the first couple seasons, but thought that the last season was awful. Just seemed to really drag on and I absolutely hated the nerdy chick they brought on. Can't remember her name, but really thought she killed the show for me atleast.

I think that is kind of the point, both Leonard and Ted (HIMYM) are the normal guys to all the others around them.
Well maybe not Ted, he's more of an idiot on HIMYM.

Yeah Amy. That would be who I'm talking about. Just so annoying. Every scene especially when they had her Penny and Bernadette together.

thought the last season was mediocre, but it's still one of the best sitcom in my opinion
1. Parks and Rec
1B. Community
3. Modern Family
4. Big Bang Theory

It is an okay show to veg in front of. There is nothing to think about. Some eye-candy on occasion and the odd funny joke. It is weird that he is David from Rosanne. That seems so many years ago and he looks about 25. I have no idea if he was David, that was so long ago.

The "nerdy" jokes are often more jokes about nerds than jokes for nerds. It's actually very accessible humour. Shows like the Simpsons and South Park are often smarter.

I didn't know Amy was the girl from Blossom either until someone told me.

The venerable Christine Baransky as Leonard's mother, particularly her first appearance, where she deadpans a slice and dice matter of fact, psychiatric analysis of Raj's and Howard's "ersatz homosexual marriage to satisfy your need for intimacy," is one of the funniest things ever.

And I love the Amy Farah Fowler character, particularly since the actress playing the part really is a neuroscientist in real life after being a child actress. Nice touch.

3 Roseanne alumni on the show (Johnny Galecki, Sara Gilbert, and Laurie Metcalf).

Some of it is. Some of it (like the Chicken in a vacuum) is actually pretty clever (and that one is a pretty famous joke). I find it similar to the background jokes of Futurama that way. They've become rarer as time has gone on...but...

Pretty sure Howards mother will end up being Roseanne.

I tried watching it once and the "laugh track" made me want to throw my remote. They must pump nitrous oxide into their studio.

The writers of Futurama are about as smart as the characters on the Big Bang Theory.
