Concourse isn't great but is 100x better than it was at the HC.

And tix are really easy to find except when the Riders are in town and maybe Labour Day. Even then tix can usually be has from CP or scalpers by the banff trail ctrain stop for face value or less.

They added a few TV's that broadcast the game in the concourse as well this year, which is nice.

While they were the best Canadian receivers they weren't best as a whole. Koch is a waste of an import space, they would be better off going for a speedier guy in his spot I think, and I've heard a lot of bad things about Sisco.

Makes you wonder why they traded their 1st round pick when they could have made a shot after Iannuzzi or Coehoorn. Maybe they think Fantuz is coming back for sure.

Your analysis is laughable. Koch was money down the stretch and Sisco could be the next Getz/Fantuz.

And they were one of the best receiving cores period.

It is a blow to lose the top receiver in the CFL but they have enough other weapons their offense will be fine.

Ottawa football delayed until 2014.

Better news for the Stamps and their protected list. Hank will likely be done by then.

Good news for everyone. I want Ottawa in the CFL but the longer until the dispersal draft the better it is for all the teams right now.

Teams like Calgary benefit the most because that's more time without having to decide Hank is going to stay or go.

Your Rider homerism is laughable. Koch is 6-0, 198, small for a WR, and is slow. He exhausted his college eligibility and never got a sniff in the NFL. Those guys are a dime a dozen.

He only caught 21 balls last year for 299 yards in eight games...that translates to about 45 catches for 650 yards in a full season which would make him an average receiver at best and a fringe one at worst...those are acceptable numbers for a depth Canadian receiver like Arjei Franklin (whose numbers over the past 3 years are almost identical) but when you're wasting an import spot on a slow, non-deep threat guy who has no upside its not good management.

All reports on Sisco is that he lacks natural talent which is never good news at a skill position like receiver. Apparently he has a good work ethic which could likely see him as a CFL regular perhaps like Getzlaf (who hasn't accomplished much in his career when not playing the Stamps) but I do remember reading a scouting report on him a while back that said he hasn't progressed that well since being drafted and that the Riders reached for him as his ceiling and upside is quite low. Fantuz on the other hand broke records throughout the CIS and came into the draft very highly touted. Odds are against Sisco becoming the next Fantuz.

Koch is "a waste of an import space" is a moronic comment.

Plus I thought you'd given up on the CFL because of the anti-Stamps conspiracy?

Well thanks for providing sufficient evidence why the comment is way off-base.

I sort of have given up on the CFL - I'm no longer emotionally invested and likely won't be going to any games anymore, but I'll still follow as a casual observer similar to golf or other sports - the CFL brand is still an exciting game and fun to watch but I certainly won't be spending money on it anymore.

Doesn't change the fact that it is still a terrific game.

Because he was pretty good down the stretch run?

Or i can just make totally baseless comments. He's a good size, he's fast and he has great hands.

There's all the evidence you need.

Its a pro-Rider not anti-Stamps conspiracy.

Get it right.

And the Riders receivers are crap with or without Jesus Fantusz on the team.

If people really think there is a conspriacy, then why even follow the league? People who think the league is rigged but still follow it are either insane or don't truly believe that.

I can only answer for myself and I will say that I still love the league and want it to do well. That may make me crazy but that is the way I am.

I have stopped buying season tickets living in Lethbridge where I can only go to half the games and have stopped watching all the games on TSN like I used to. Sure these are punitive measures but moves made based on the BS given to the Priders over the past two years.

I think the league obviously has major problems in terms of officiating but I also think that it is a great league that is easily redeemable.

I am also lucky enough that despite the obvious officiating gifts the Riders have been given they are still such an inept organization that they haven't been able to take advantage of them other than one year.

It comes down to the CFL being my league and something I want to support and the problems it has has only cropped up lately and in result to short term thinking. I have faith that they will realize that a healthy league is the best thing for the league and fix the BS that has gone on for the past few years. It may be naive but I really do think that the problems will get fixed.
