The fact that Erixon didn't let the Flames organization know his intentions much sooner really pisses me off and says a lot about the guy. Hope he fails.

I like the the official flames twitter account broke this deal (at least as far as i can tell). Big change as part of the feaster mgmt style when it comes to communicating with the fans. Just like being open with the details on Glencross contract numbers.
Anyway...underwhelming return but the Flames were not in a position of strength in negotiations on this obviously.

Honestly though, if we couldnt sign him, why wait til the final hour to make a deal then? This is a joke. Trading a 1st rounder for nothing more than quantity over quality does not improve anything!

Considering Erixon was going back in the draft in 45 minutes, I would say 2 2nd round picks and a prospect was not too bad of a return.

1. Tim's dad, Jan Erixon spent his whole NHL career with the Rangers.. no wonder.
2. Don't be down on Horak, he led the Chilliwack Bruins with a 1.22PPG in 64 games, probably playing with Howse.
