If you don't want your hard earned money to go to the police, don't speed. This is a civilized world with rules, and consequences if you break said rules. I just laugh at people who get mad at others when they are caught breaking the law.

i am also now the latest victim of the taxation/speeding ticket program BUT the police officer did not put my postal code which is clearly stated on my license on the ticket, now i have heard that if they do not fill out all fields on the ticket properly that it is considered null and void, will they consider that null and void with out my postal code on it or am i just hoping too much

Nope, your ticket will remain valid as long as it is not a fatal error (e.g. your name is Bob Saget and the cop wrote Bob Goodenow or your address is 123 8Ave SW Calgary and on the ticket it read 456 Whyte Ave Edmonton.)

I've had over $5000 in fines and 13 demerits reduced to $1200 and 2 demerits.

dude.. slow down :P [/b][/quote]
That's what I was thinking.
$5000 in fines? I would go from married to single in a hell of a hurry with fines like that.
On second thought, maybe it's not a bad idea.
I kid, I kid.............

If the fine is $236, send in a check for $237. When they give you your check back for $1, don't cash it. Points aren't added to your license until all financial transactions are complete.

I'd look into that man, a buddy of mine got off because the cop put January 4, 2004 and it was 2005. I got off on minor in possesion of alcohol when i got busted with my fake id because the cop selected adult court, and I was only 16 at the time

No, you can't fight a red light camera ticket. They have photographic evidence of you driving your car against a red light. It's pretty cut and dried.

Actually, they don't have evidence of you driving your car against the red light... all they have is evidence that someone drove the car through the right light.
And yes, you can plea bargain with the prosecutor... I had a red light once and talked him down to a 65% fine reduction. No demerits of course since they have no proof you were driving.
