These people have no doubt screwed up the poor girl's life more than being spied upon in her sleep ever would have. People who have sexual crimes against them (especially children) are likely to feel a sense of guilt and responsibility. All I can think of is that if the girl saw this, as Rogue suggested, she probably realized that it was about her, and could have felt a sense that she was responsible for the whole thing. And now she has to deal with her mother and aunt likely being imprisoned--something else she could end up feeling guilty for. As much as it might seem like a wimpy thing to do, scaring the guy off and calling the police would probably be the best action, in that there is no reason for the girl to ever know about it, and it won't have an overall negative effect on her childhood or her life as a whole. I seriously hope the girl didn't see the beating.

Scaring the guy off could allow him to do this again to someone elses child. I have a feeling he will think twice before he goes peeping again.
But I agree, I hope the child didn't witness the beating. [/b][/quote]
I hope she didn't witness it as well but it'd be a pretty complicated scenario for her
not to be a witness to some of this. The guy was allegedly right outside her window, so you'd think she probably heard and/or saw the guy getting wailed on by 5 people with sticks. Hopefully for the girl's sake the dude was ko'd by the time they shoved a club up his ass because I'm guessing he would make a hell of a disturbing noise during that little event.
They deserve the same he gets if you ask me. Effing lunatics all of them. A video-tape? Somebody in the bunch had the presence of mind to decide this incident was something they wanted to see again? There goes the "I was really p*ssed off and didn't know what I was doing" defense.
