That processor speed can't be right; it says 1.3 Ghz.

The bottom line is that processor is a little old; which is why it is on sale. But if it is really an error and the CPU is 2 Ghz or higher; I would buy it for what you need.

Tough call. I really like Dell over Acer; but it's also hard to argue with the better CPU.

Low clock speed doesn't necessarily mean that it's old. Clock speed doesn't really mean much of any anything these days.

It's most likely one of the of the lower voltage U/SU C2D's which are more than capable of doing normal, everyday computer tasks, and are much faster than an the Atom or AMD Neo.

Yeah, a 1.3GHz mobile Core 2 Duo is quite fast.

My own netbook, a 1.3GHz Atom processor is getting near to slow (Vista is unpleasant to use at times, XP or Linux is better suited) but still adequate for a netbook.

after getting an ipad 2 i realized why tablets suck. they're like the worst of both worlds.

ill be selling my PC shortly and replacing it, likely with a mac, in the next short while. after not playing any pc games for nearly 3 or 4 years.. its become obvious my computer use has changed over the years.
