The Canadian Conservatives would certainly be left of the Democrats on a political spectrum.

It's not a perfect match, granted, but that's far more likely to be a Democratic platform than a Republican one in the US right now.

There are those in the Conservative part that would like to go as far to the right as the Repugs in the US, and I'm sure there are many Dems that would love to be able to bring in a basic Conservative platform to the US.
In reality US politics is on another planet from the rest of the west and making left right comparisons is bound to fail!

I presume this is directed at me, and you haven't shown your work yet so let me do it for you.
Below is a repsentation of the political scale as you descried it.
Canadian Conservative = CC
American Liberal = AL
American Conservative = AC
Poitcal Left ------------------------------------ Political Right
Lenin------------CC---------AL-----------------------AC
Now who is the Canadian Conservative closer to, the American Liberal, or the American Conservative?

I'm going to have to go with:-
The communist party of the USA, they advocate for full reproductive rights, gun control and universal health care.

In any event, is anyone here familiar with this guy? Can anyone tell me anything about him? Is he legit? I don't care how popular he is, necessarily. My wife does not stand to gain from her appearance.
Any insight appreciated.
Thanks!

i listen to him frequently and i would say he will ask the tough questions and will do it in the right way. he can be very blunt and upfront, but i think he plays a fair game. i love the way he grills some of the politicians who go on his show.

It works great here, but its a small country.

But, statistically, child abductions and the like are incredibly rare relative to the number of children out there.
So the over-protecting amounts to nothing, and smothers our kids.
There's a lady who started this whole thing, and has taken some heat for it, and my wife went to hear her speak and relayed a story about leaving our (then) 4-year old daughter alone in the kids section of the public library for a couple minutes. The lady put that story up on her blog and it got all kinds of attention. Hundreds and hundreds of reactions. Some people saying our kids obviously should be taken away from us on one end of the spectrum, others saying "good for you" on the other.
Anyway, this Roy Green apparently has had the lady (Lenore something or another) on his show, and specifically talked about my wife's story once, and that's how he came to contact my wife about being on his show - though Lenore.

Good work!
Free Range Kids is subscribed to in my blog reader. I remember all the backlash your wife received about her story.
Good luck on air this weekend.

Do free range kids taste better than the ones raised in cages?

My mothers theory of parenting as well, 'piss off and don't come back until dinner'
