Like I said above, I'm finding this whole thing to be very irritating. Why should a group of hackers dictate what I do with my spare time? Is it up to them to tell me to "go outside".

Finally a long weekend with tons of new releases and this.

Lets see...hackers hack sony. Sony Sues you. Hackers retaliate attack Sony.

Hackers were in the wrong to begin with.

Oh and thanks for telling me there is more to life. How many days did you nerds stay indoors in front of a computer to learn how to illegally hack computers? Just ridiculous.

/End rant

^That's not accurate... more like

hackers essentially jailbreak the ps3 -> sony sues particular hacker -> obviously hacker doesn't have resources to compete with sony's legal team -> settlement -> people are mad

Certain people (i.e. the people taking down psn) are mad because they figure sony shouldn't be able to tell them what they can or cannot do with hardware (the ps3) they bought and own.

Legally it's not clear whether said hackers who jailbroke the ps3 are in the right or not, the suit sony bought against the one hacker would likely have been a landmark case in that regard.

You should take the break from PSN to watch Hackers.

How long did it take them to figure out personal info was taken? That's pretty big and disappointing that it took them this long to announce.

Basically all your personal info you stored on PSN (name, address, passwords, credit cards, ect.) was exposed in the attack.

Sounds like hackers getting the cc info is only a possibility. I'm not really concerned, I'll just remain as vigilant as always with my statements.

I was reading rumors about it on Friday, I figured they were false at the time though.
