Hard to see McIlroy losing this thing at this point. Completely in control of his game. His swing is as natural as any I remember seeing and emotionally he is in control.
Not bad for a 21 year old kid.

Mike Weir is going to miss the cut and has an outside shot to finish dead last at the Masters. His game has been gone for a few years, but he always did better than his average at Augusta.

Tiger looks like he is starting to make a charge. He has about a 4 foot putt for birdie coming up. If he sinks this then watch out.

Tiger has gone to -5, with a par 5 hole next.

He looks really good but he also seems to be a bit hard on himself on the green. Maybe it's nothing, but I saw him talking to himself after he narrowly missed an eagle putt and had to "settle" for a birdie. I think the question for him will be if he can deal with the inevitable adversity that a course like that could throw at him and how his mental game will hold up.
I'm pulling for him! Watching his group today was real fun.
And it's nice to see Tiger have a good round.

Jason Day's -8 looks like low round for the tournament so far.

If Tiger can make birdie here on 18, look out. He'll be only 3 back heading into the weekend.
Tiger in contention heading into the weekend at Augusta is awesome.

Tiger birdies 18 and is now 3 shots off the lead heading into the weekend.
This should be fun.

I've seriously missed watching Tiger play golf like that, that was fun. -7 over the last 11 holes. Only 2 players in front of him, a 21 and a 23 year old. Shaping up to be quite a weekend, looks like it'll be the first time the new generation of players faces off against Tiger when it counts. Can't wait.

What a friggin shot Tiger just made on 18...twisted and contorted to play a huge left to right out of the trees to pin high and 7 feet away...ridiculous....then drains it.
Is Tiger back?...looks like it after that back 9 and a 66 that included 3 bogies.

Tiger is going to make it very interesting on the weekend. Maybe there's some magic still left in his bag.

Well Tiger still knows how to play Augusta. Will be interesting to see how McIlroy holds up, especially if Tiger is chasing him. So many good young players in the game these days, it should be a fun weekend to watch some golf while the broad is working.

Exactly how I feel. I've been waiting a while to see Tiger play like Tiger again.
