Slightly, slightly left of center. No surprise to me. Closest to Liberal, furthest from NDP. No chance in hell I'm voting Liberal though.

Not surprisingly nearly bang on the Conservative. I'm a bit surprised it had me much more towards social conservatism, I consider myself to be more centre. But my biggest concern is the economy and I'm about as far right as you can go in that regard.

Says I'm a liberal, but I'm still voting for the conservatives.

Closest to the Liberals and Bloc, furthest from the Conservatives.

Pretty much dead on.

So this is interesting... It put me pretty much between Liberal & Conservative, yet if I look at the individual answers, every one of them is bang on Conservative or closer to Conservative, not one response was closer to Liberal... wtf?

The guide they are using is just a general "socially conservative" "economically conservative" and has nothing to do with the actual parties or their policies.

Its a stupid quiz.

Well, I was trying to decide if I was going to volunteer for the NDP or the Green party and this questionnaire helped settle the issue for me.

Green Party it is.

Wow. I am way further left than even I figured.

I guess I better grow my hair out, and turn my floral pattern couch into a pair of pants. Pass the dube, I'm moving to Vancouver.

I would assume that it does not consider those questions when placing you. Otherwise, they might as well just replace the questions with:

If you think you're a Conservative, vote Conservative.
If you think you're a Liberal, vote Liberal.
If you think you're NDP, vote NDP.
If you think you're Green, vote Green.
If you think you're Bloq, vote Bloq.

I'm guessing the fine print says they're also collecting information to publish as surveys.

I was pretty close to the Green, BLOC and Liberals. Not quite as socially liberal as the NDP. Green is probably what I would vote for anyway.

Yeah I suppose, but I feel like I answered my questions pretty conservatively. Either way, its kind of a dumb idea. Just a way to get apathetic people to have an idea of who to vote for without even really looking at the issues.

according to that I'm dead center on the graph

Now I have a new goal to start the "Conservative Liberal Alliance Party" (we call ourself the CLAP) that is half way between the two parties... according to most people here I should get a lot of votes.

We'll have the slogan "Catch the CLAP"

Not as good as the Canadian Reform Alliance Party, which was quickly changed to just the Canadian Alliance Party.

I don't agree with the findings though, a lot of the questions are the typical Canadian issues of which many I didn't have an strong opinion on but really, I see myself as a socially liberal, economic conservative.

I think most people will be considered closest to the Liberals simply because the Liberals are closest to the middle of the compass. NDP and Conservatives are like Pluto and Neptune way out there on the edge.

I was just slightly to the left of you and I completely agree with the socially liberal and economic conservative thing. That is exactly where I see myself.

I was dead center economically and just slightly towards social conservativism.

I want to know what each PM candidate thinks about the Peace Bridge before I vote.
