Sp apparently the Valeo's are the same brand as the Michelins that you can buy at Costco for much cheaper.

I agree you get what you pay for in most cases. I bought the Armour All blades from CT. They were the most expensive ones they had but they aren't really very good. They do have a 2 year warranty though which is why I bought them.

As for wipers I'm a fan of the cheap $7/pair wipers replaced more frequently. $7 a year is a much cheaper and better performing alternative then $50 every 3 years. That and a clean windshield... Nothing beats a brand new windshield (or clay bar) when it comes to wiper performance.

You need less nuts...in your diet.
+1 for the Costco Michelins. They've been great the last month.

Well,I am think I am going to try out the Michelins and see what happens. The price, reviews and accessibility for purchasing are all in its favour. In addition to the clay bar and Rain-X, I think I should get some favourable "wiping action."
I may regret that last sentence but there it is....

Replaced my Armour Alls from CT with some Rain-Xs from Walmart, and they've been great so far. Was waiting for a nice day to apply the Rain-X , but I was an idiot and threw out the packaging. fffuuuu

There were a lot of reviews about Rain-X where people complained that on a sunny day, there would be a pretty serious glare that resulted after applying it to their windshield. Luckily, nobody here has mentioned that but would be interested to know if you have a similiar issue.

I've had nothing but issues with the flex-type blades on my car, they just don't hold on the drivers side, it's too long.
I've gone back to the conventional style

Applying it in sunlight is pretty streaky, yeah. Do it on a cooler and cloudy day and it should be fine. I honestly haven't even used the Rain-X applicant on the wipers yet. You certainly don't need it.

What vehicle did you experience these problems on, and what length of wipers did it require?

If you're thinking about Rain-X, you could look into Aquapel, I've personally never tried it so I can't quite comment but the people I know that have definitely like it more and think it's better than rain-x

If I see a car similar car to mine in the parking lot, I try to help myself to as many accessories as I can, including wipers.
Kidding of course.
