Get your Po Boy from Johnny's, check out all the pictures on the wall of famous people that have been there. In the french market grab a a coffee at Cafe Du Monde and enjoy the music from what is usually a guy on guitar and a violin playing chick. The Aquarium of the Americas is pretty amazing and a short walk from the French Market. New Orleans is my home away from home.

St. Charles is right in the Quarter so you are right in the safe area.

I am going also. What have you guys done for money?

Did you take a large sum of cash with you for the duration of your time there and use it bit-by-bit, or are there ATM's readily in service to use? How much spending money would you recommend budgetting per day?

The only time i've been to new orleans was for 10 days in may 2009 rebuilding houses with H4H. ATMs are everywhere.

Dragos was the best oyster bar I went to. Mothers is a local food joint that has (maybe) the worlds best po boys
