I don't know why some of you are so against this music. It's nice to have something different and I've never heard of this band nor listen to Indie music but they sound pretty chill. Sorry, no Biebs tonight

I'm only joking. I couldn't care less what music they play. No music is ever going to satisfy everyone. Personally Id rather see someone I listen to but sadly they are all dead.
Wow surprised by the hate in this thread, Metric & Tokyo Police Club are both established Canadian bands, yes their more x92 than CJay but their far from nerdy basement music.

I've never heard of them, but I thought that live video was great. And then I turned the volume on, and it was even better. Always great to see bands doing a guitar solo....don't hear those much often anymore.
Nice to see the Flames using somebody a little more fresh than the typical middle-aged rockers or country musicians one would expect at this type of event.

Glad to see it's not 54-40. Or the Hip. Or BTO. Based on most events like this (cough cough CFL) you'd think that Canada hasn't produced any new music since 1990. Say what you will about the bands, it's nice to see a change from the status quo.

BTO wasn't available today. The NHL also put out calls to Loverboy and Corey Hart, but no luck.
No Trooper either? I call bulls*** NHL.

I was really surprised to see Tokyo Police Club lined up as a performer, their older stuff wasn't great but I enjoy their newest album. If anyone is interested, you should check out the song "Bambi".
Nice to see the organizers diversifying the Canadian content and going a little off the beaten track.
Edit: Thanks to Rhettzky for the link to the song.
