I actually watched all 3 Matrix movies earlier this month for the first time in a long time. I don't remember enjoying the 2nd and 3rd movies that much the last time around, but watching it again recently, I actually found them really enjoyable. Maybe I just didn't get it the first time lol.

Anyway a 4th and 5th movie are totally doable. I remember shortly after the 3rd movie, an MMORPG Matrix game came out called "Enter the Matrix". The game sucked, but I thought the premise was cool, where there was a war between humans inside and outside of the Matrix, where certain factions preferred to remain in the Matrix, much like Cypher in the first movie.

And they never actually confirmed Neo's death in the 3rd movie. The Architect and the Oracle even made mention of Neo still being around at the end of the 3rd movie (likely for the very reason of leaving it open for a sequel lol).

P.S. Bill and Ted 3 FTW!!
P.P.S. Release another Animatrix set damnit!

I am probably one of the few people who enjoyed all three installments. I looked at them as a continuance of a story, not just a money grab sequel generator. Easily my favorite trilogy. Agent Smith was a tremendous character, one of the best villains in the past decade along with Anton Chigurh and The Joker.

I would love to see more of the story, but hearing that it is bogus doesn't bother me in the least. They wrapped it up nicely, and I am content with that.

I also enjoyed all three movies as a trilogy. I think they could have waited a bit to prolong the 3rd movie and build more of a fan base (much like LOTR), but it was done pretty well.

Any of you interested in Matrix backstories, definitely check out the Animatrix that was released around the same time. 21 different animated shorts from the world's best animators (American and Japanese). All of there stories involve characters that are somehow related to the Matrix.

But for the record, I can't see Keanu Reeves doing the next installments (if there are any.) To keep the series fresh, they need new protagonists. Can Keanu even kick and punch things anymore? He's got to be pushing mid-to-late 40's.

I would like to watch the 2 sequels again. I liked the first one and attempted to watch the 2 sequels back-to-back, but I wasn't into it from the first minute so it was hard to pay attention.

I can't remember a single scene from them, except the 10 minute long rave scene, and I can't even remember which one that was in.

Matrix 4, the oversears do a bios update and update their reality servers to Windows 2008.

The whole world as we know it is about to lock up.

In Matrix 5 the architech and the agents argue because the architech thinks it would be wizard to convert the virtual reality servers to Red Hat whic of course will save them a ton of money because its free.

The studio would make 100's of millions of dollars. $20 says they are made.

God, really.

I didn't even think the first Matrix was all that impressive.

There is only one movie that Keanu Reeves should be making right now and that is freaking "Cowboy Bebop." The script has been sent back for rewriting twice already because to make it would be too expensive. I've been waiting years now for the official word that they're in production, but it never comes.

Cowboy Bebop FTMFW.

The only thing that Keanu Reeves should be doing is sasauge ads with William Shatner and Christopher Walken.

It was revolutionary at the time. The action in that movie was like nothing you had seen previously. Now bullet-time action seems commonplace and overdone, but Matrix paved the way for that.

As for Cowboy Bebop, I had no idea they were making a movie! They sure as hell better do the anime justice!

As much as I despise Keanu Reeves, I cannot think of anyone else who could possibly play Spike. Looks and martial arts skills.

I don't even really like anime at all very much, but Cowboy Bebop is a total masterpiece in every sense of the word.

What the hell is 'Cowboy Bebop?'

Other than the dumbest name I've ever heard of for absolutely anything.

I can't help but be reminded of these two buffoons when I hear that title:

Cowboy Bebop (カウボーイビバップ, Kaubōi Bibappu?) is an influential, critically-acclaimed, and award-winning 1998 Japanese anime series directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, written by Keiko Nobumoto, and produced by Sunrise. Its 26 episodes ("sessions") comprise a complete storyline: set in 2071, the series follows the misadventures and tragedies of a group of bounty hunters, or "cowboys", traveling on their spaceship, the Bebop.

The series' art direction centers on American music and counterculture, especially the beat and jazz movements of the 1940s-60s and the early rock era of the 1950s-70s, which the original soundtrack by Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts recreates.[2]

Cowboy Bebop was a commercial success both in Japan and international markets, notably in the United States. After this reception, Sony Pictures released a feature film, Knockin' on Heaven's Door (2001), to theaters worldwide and followed up with an international DVD release.
