I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
Supremely underrated. Dark, intriguing, mysterious. Chris Carter's greatest contribution, IMO. It could never step out of the shadow of the X-files though. I actually don't know anyone who remembers this show. Sad.
I remember it clearly. Brilliant show.

if for anything the replay value of the show, i'll go back to scrubs, lost, seinfeld, pretty much anything really and i can see all the spoilers and jokes coming a mile away.
Arrested development has such ridiculous foreshadowing, there is no way you'd pick it up the first time you watch it.
The Shield first and foremost. Definitely my favourite of all time.
Tour of Duty. Great Vietnam show from the late 80's. Terence Knox ruled.
LOST, up until the series finale that made me want to punch a baby in the face.
Metalocalypse. Well, duh.

Yeah, I've seen every episode at least 3 times (original airing on Fox, DVD, full series replay on CBC), and found something new to laugh at every time. The best part is that there are some jokes that aren't even funny the first time you see them because they reference things that won't happen for a few more episodes.

Honorable Mention: The Twilight Zone (60's version). Just finished watching The Wire (for the third time), and re-watching Oz (not sure if I'll sit through the failure that was season six though).

Btw, nothing really to do with this thread, but for all you fans of The Wire, fast forward to 1:55 of this preview. Had myself a good chuckle, considering.
Couple others I forgot
Batman was the greater of the two. Also Arrested Development (seasons one and two), and Breaking Bad would rank pretty high up there for me too.

This show was ahead of its time. It should have been a Showtime series. Chock full of David Lynchy goodness, Twin Peaks was a season of brilliance. It went quickly down hill once the mystery of Laura Palmer's death was solved, but the first season is so strong that it saves the series. The movie Twin Peaks:Fire Walk With Me is a must for anyone who enjoyed the series.
This would be my top pick.
There have been some good one since then, but nothing compares to Twin Peaks.
Firefly (some of the best dialogue and characters I've seen anywhere)
Seinfeld (over 20 years old now and still fantastic)
Top Gear is very good, but it has lost a lot of it's lustre since the downturn. Their budget has been slashed, and all the "staged" stuff that goes on each and every episode is getting tiring. Still a very entertaining show though, especially for someone who isn't a car fan.
