Our Jack Dempseys are at the same stage - dozens of 2 mm babies still swimming. The parents are finally doing a decent job of guarding them and have managed to thwart the mass murderer who had wiped out the previous broods.

We just found Golds and their fish are awesome. We used to really love Piseces as well, but lately have found their tanks to be full of snails and dead fish in many of their tanks. Big Als is our 2nd choice.

Definitely go with Gold's.

He's great for troubleshooting tank issues if you are doing everything right and are having troubles with the fish you've bought. This sold me on the place even more as he actually cared what happens after he sells you his fish.

Also it's hard to beat the prices at Gold's unless you walk into a massive sale.

I agree. Everyone that works there is nice and knowledgeable, the tanks are always very clean and supplies (and sometimes fish) are super cheap (compared to box stores).

He won't even sell you fish if he thinks you don't know what you are doing.

"No fish for you".

I was going to type that into my original post but I couldn't do it in a way that didn't make it sound bad, lol. I was in there once where he refused to sell fish to someone. The guy took it as a joke at first but got mad pretty fast when he continued to refuse and told him to get out of the store.

Going to bump this thread with another props to Tanks A Lot. Good price on the aquarium; it was cheaper than Pisces. And the price for fish is great! I can't wait to get this aquarium setup and start adding fish. The guy I dealt with was really knew his fish; and how to deal with customers. If it was up to my wife we'd have 3 times the fish our tank can handle. He saw this and started saying "you can put these guys together, but with these others the will start eating each other."

He even offered to sell me his display model of the tank; something Pisces wouldn't do even though they also couldn't say when their stock was coming in.
