I like Calgary winters. If not, I'd live elsewhere.

Just walked in from an hour ski and it isn't soo bad out.....pretty windy but not much snow comming down just blowing what we already have around. Lots of tree branches and twigs snapping and scattered everywhere and garbage getting blown around. People walking around backwards as they aren't dressed for the weather. As long as you are geared up go right into it. Hopefully we get the 30+ cms Lake Louise got. It is winter after all.

Lethbridge is bad again, blowing snow everywhere, crazy wind.

My roommates good friend is getting married today and I guess nearly half the wedding is stuck in Calgary because the highways are terrible. Meanwhile I had a ton I wanted to get done today before the semester starts on Monday but I'll be stuck inside all day. Oh well guess I'll catch up on some reading and cleaning.

I'm going to Honolulu in Feb. Can't wait. Last year we went on a cruise in March, and the temperature in Calgary the entire time we were gone was above zero. I'm hoping for the big chill to hit so I can feel good about leaving!

Me too. I like cold - I guess it's just the wind that bugs me sometimes when I'm walking to work. I moved here from Ontario where we got more snow but way warmer.

It's pretty nasty outside now! I guess it just waited for nightfall for the snow to start falling.

Other than the blowing snow, and wind, it's not that bad out

Hey now, I too admit to occasionally checking the internet while I was in Maui over the last 10 days. The pull of Calpuck and SSP is just too strong, and what better way to kill a few minutes as dinner cooks?

I've been tuning into the PGA event in Kapalua to warm myself up a bit. Looks to be pretty icy the next week here in Cowtown.

Yup, I'll do a little surfing with a coffee in the morning by the pool. I have no problem with that. Last year I found out about the Phaneuf trade while doing just that.

Not many other hockey sources on the Riviera Nayarit!

Normally I'd exploit the opportunity to rub in Brisbane's wonderful weather, but since half of Queensland is flooded at the moment instead I'll say: Hey, it's close to 30° here! Come on out! Bring your canoe.

I'm leaving for Hawaii on Tuesday for 2 weeks. Going to watch the Sony Open In Hawaii and play some golf too.

Hawaii, clearly the choice of the CP crowd.

I didn't check out any of the PGA event in Kapalua, but did the ziplining up there on Wednesday.

I work with a guy who should be back any day from Hawaii. It is a beautiful place. I was there many, many years ago and was tempted to to look into it this year, but we have fallen in love with the Nayarit coast of Mexico. We want to keep taking advantage of it before it becomes the next Mexican mega-resort area, as there are already plans for that.
