Yes, good choice. LO rocks! Great looking game, and likeable characters (Jansen is my fav). Story is pretty decent. Only problem might be the load times which ain't very good, but other then that I enjoyed it quite a lot.
The 360 is actually a pretty damn good console when it comes to RPG's. I actually watched a few reviews on some JRPG's just earlier.
Eternal Sonata looks nice, and I did enjoy the demo I played. Blue Dragon I didn't like very much. Star Ocean looks pretty good, I will be picking that one up sooner or later.
Other RPG's I don't think were mentioned yet in this thread are The Last Remnant (read from a few places to stay away, not a good game), Infinite Undiscovery (another game that didn't do too well) and Tales of Vesperia which I might pick up eventually as it seems pretty good from the few reviews I've watched. Also there is Final Fantasy 13 which is pretty good so far (I have only played it for about 10-12 hrs so far).
I think Enchanted Arms and Magna Carta 2 might be JRPG's but I don't know much about those two at all.

I just picked up Resonance of Fate a week ago, 'cause Gamespot nominated it as one of the Best Games No One Played in it's year end awards (under it's dubious awards heh). I quite like it. The battle system took me about 3 hours of gameplay to figure out, but it's pretty neat. Interesting mix of turn-based and real time action, along with some dungeon crawling aspects. I'd recommend it.
I also finished Tales of Vesperia about 6 months back. The fighting is mainly just button mashing, but the graphics were really good and it had a good story. Plus it was a very open world concept, much like the Final Fantasy games of old (unlike FF13...ugh).

Yes, Tales of Vesperia is a great game. It's not too "Japanese" either. As far as I remember none of the characters annoyed me too much.
Walmart has a bunch of RPGs on sale. I think you might be able to get Star Ocean for $10 according to RedFlagDeals. Your mileage may vary though.

Don't know if it's just me, but starting with Oblivion, and now with Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I really like the hardcover collector edition game guides that come out with the games. Very well done guides

Star Ocean and Infinite Undiscovery are $10 at Walmart. I tried looking for Magnacarta 2 but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know where one can get a new copy for cheap (EB has new copies for $35)?

While I definitely agree with the awesomeness of Valkyria Chronicles, it's also a playstation exclusive, so it doesn't really help the OP.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are the best RPGs for 360 IMO. But only buy them one at a time cuz they're huge games.

For the love of god, if you get a Fallout game get FO3. New Vegas is beyond broken and it pisses me off how many times this ######ed effing game glitches. I can't take it anymore and I haven't even completed the storyline missions yet. God, there are so many glitches, holy fata.
There are areas in this game where if you accidentally go into them you cannot get out and you'll have to load a save file, this has happened over 10 times for me! 10 minutes ago it said "you cannot fast travel while falling or jumping" and my guy was just stuck in the middle of a hill. Had to reload my save and had to go over 20 minutes of boring ass walking over again.
Screw Fallout: New Vegas.

It's already been said quite a few times, but Mass Effect 1 & 2 are amazing.

And yet you're still playing it. It's only frustrating because the game is good despite the glitches.
