Oilers need this game bad. The difficulty on their remaining schedule ramps up considerably down the stretch.

Only McGrattan, Backlund, and Cervenka showed up last game
Hopefully a better team effort this game, to screw the oilers out of the playoffs

McGrattan for MVP.... I want him to get a Gordie Howe hatty tonight!
Flames lose 5-1

Saying that Kipper is planning to stay, play out the year, and retire.
Expect him to be in the lineup tonight.

I think this will be a tough one for the Oilers for the following reasons:
1. Flames are tough at home
2. Oilers have struggled at the dome
3. The pressure is off Calgary and it's not uncommon for teams that are out of it to put together a string of wins
4. Statistically speaking - the Oilers are due to lose
5. I think the Flames will develop a new 'hard work for 60' mentality to stay in games and Edmonton hasn't shown a consitent battle level over a string of games yet. If Edmonton gets outworked they will lose.
If the Oilers win, it will be after regulation.

It's also lose-lose (from the Flames' point of view).
Flames win, it impedes your dive for 30th.
Flames lose, Oilers closer to the playoffs.
See, it depends on how you look at it.

with Kipper being in net tonight, I'll change my 5-1 prediction to a 5-0 prediction of an oilers win

Go oilers go!
I'm not kidding, I want Mackinnon. And to answer your questions in advance; yes, I am stooping to that level

This is win/win.
We win, we beat the Oilers and damage their playoff drive.
We lose, we continue the drive for 30th.

Totally MVP worthy if he's able to score the only goal and assist on his own goal according to your prediction

Win this one Flames you can start losing after that.
In a perfect world with what is ahead now. Win the last 2 games vs EDM and VAN and lose the rest finishing dead last. The 4 pts cost the Oilers who finish 9th and we draft MacKinnon

Good analogy.
