I think the celebration of Bean leaving is a bit unfair to him.

Bean was a part of the organization for a long time and was fine in my interactions with him, he just never should have been put in a role where he was asked to be the figurehead of the organization.

And really I don't think that was ever their intent either as they wanted Maloney, Treliving and others to do that...but when Treliving walked he was kind of forced to be that guy.

I have had interactions with Lorenzo Diciccio in the past and he always seemed pretty intelligent and like a good guy, so will be interesting to see him as part of the Flames organization.

Hayes has triplets. If he can handle that, he just might be able to deal with a bunch of unruly Flames fans.

I wonder if this is related to the news that the Flames may be looking for new investors.

He was also a key part of getting the Dome ready for hockey in the fall after the Flood.

After listening to Keith Pelley I wondered if all NHL CEOs speak a lot but say very little. Sample size of 2.

The dismissiveness and arrogance Bean displayed in the press conference last year is the lowest I've ever felt as a Flames fan. It's the closest I've ever felt to what I imagine Oilers fans felt during the infamous Lowe + McTavish presser.

He might have been a good guy behind the scenes, but almost everything I've heard about the guy is dismal.

Bean actually pulled off mission impossible in 2013 when he managed to get the Saddledome ready for events in three months. He inherited a very complicated arena negotiations from the late Ken King, too.

It looks like DeCicco was involved with the Cavalry and launching the CPL.

With the Flames hiring one of the architects of Cavalry FC to be their new COO, I am really wondering if and when we see an announcement about CSEC partnering up with the Southerns on a new multi-purpose stadium proposal for the Cavs and Stamps

Still think it's a shame it wasn't part of the what is being done now.

The fact the team / city / province is spending $1.2B on an arena district that doesn't include a new multi-purpose outdoor stadium is a shame.

Still think that should have been a part of the overall proposal of any city / province funding.

Or, if the ownership rumours are true, could we see the Southerns buy into CSEC?

I'm sure Bean is a good guy and did the best his could in a role that he honestly shouldn't have been in. But him stepping down is definitely a positive for the hockey side of the organization

Lorenzo Diciccio sounds like the name of a connected guy you have to talk to if you want to rent a house in Tuscany.

Considering DeCicco left the group behind Cavalry before it was officially announced, I highly doubt it. His and Spruce Meadows' vision for Cavalry did not align.

The beautiful rolling hills and vineyards of Italy, or the depressing, ugly, brutal, unhealthy, spiritually degrading sprawl of Calgary's Tuscany?
