I've never seen him play. Is he tough like his dad?

I don't know what all the hand wringing is about in here, the Flames decision will be easy as it gets.
They will draft Macklin Celebrini 1st overall after winning the draft lottery.
Speak that into existence.

They'll be able to sign Tij when he gets to free agency in his mid twenties because he'll be established and his dad will still be working in the Flames FO and they'll be a contender with a shiny new arena and because "collusion"

Pretty impressive climb. Wasn't he expected to be an early second round pick before the season started?

He's got 6 goals in 4 PO games, looking more and more like his dad in terms of being clutch performer, if he keeps it up he could go 2nd

Not realistically by people who'd watched him. But definitely mid to low 1st round to start the season. At mid point he had cemented himself mid round, around 12-15. Everything he's shown since february is top 10 worthy easy. I think there's a decent chance he's the 2nd forward taken at the moment.
Gms love NHL bloodlines, he's producing goals in important games like a machine, he's got NHL level off puck skills... he's honestly an awesome prospect and I think it's flames self hatred that has fans here against picking him.
It would be a dream to pick him.

You mean we could grab Tigor Iglanov in one of the later rounds?

Bro needs to pull a mini-Lindros and say he'll only play for the Flames ("it's my dad, guys. It's been my life's dream. C'mon, you understand"), allowing the Flames to draft whomever with their 1st pick, trade Markstrom to Jersey for their pick, *shock* the world and select another player, and then finally stop playing games with the Vancouver 1st, just as Iggy Jr planned in his smart thinking-long-term-playing-for-my-dad brain.
Ezpz 3 elite prospects *clap* *clap* Conroy and co.
Before anyone scoffs at this or tries to rebuttal saying it's dumb and a dreamer's fantasy, shush shush this is my life, my rules, and Iggy Jr is gonna follow them thank you very much.

These aren't just NHL bloodlines. They're Jarome's.
The Flames need to lose more games and take this kid.

Doubtful. The thing about these rankings is every publication has them different. Trying to predict after Celebrini is pretty tough this draft. However if we finish 8th and it does follow that order I will be thrilled!

No doubt he's going to be a good player. I am very confident the Iginla pedigree is real.
If he doesn't end up with the Flames, I just hope he ends up in a non rival market. Definitely looking forward to watching his career unfold.

Does he play center at all?
Not going to lie, I have watched some of his playoff highlights and I was getting flashbacks of Jarome.

As someone who doesn’t watch prospects I am not one to comment on it but in my opinion the only player I would want to pick over Iginla in this draft is Celebrini. I know I am wrong thinking/believing that is the right move but the son of my favorite player of all time? Sign me up
I know many of us Flames fans are biased but how are the Flames/Conroy also not going to be biased here? Conroy has known Tij since birth so he knows the player we would be selecting more than any other player in this draft.

OK, but let's be honest. Isn't the peeing part just part of a regular Thurday night regardless?
