Marky to Jersey to help them get into the playoffs (even though he can't play once they get there), and then they can extend him in June!
(This is what I'm hoping for. I'm not actually reporting anything.)
Edit: Actually, the trade part is irrelevant. I really just want to fiinsh out the season with Wolf as the starter. We finally get to see if he's an NHL goalie... and if he is, then we gain a new #1 goalie... and if he isn't, then we gain a better spot in the draft. Win win!

Naw, screw that. He's either an NHL goalie or he isn't. If he gets shelled by Colorado tonight, then so be it. He has to learn to recover and be ready for the next one - because that's also part of being an NHL goalie.

Nothing says you're a Flames goalie like getting shelled by the lowly Sharks and Elite Avs within back to back NHL starts.

Pelletier and Coronato have already been sent down to qualify for AHL playoffs and called back up. As Getbak mentioned if this is an emergency recall it might not count and we would have 2 remaining still

Not sure it counts in an injury situation (only one goalie in Calgary with Markstrom out)

I recall that too but, that rule might have changed recently. This morning one of the Fan960 guys mentioned that trades after the deadline meant that traded players couldn't play in the playoffs or regular season games. I thought that was wrong too. I searched it and even though the NHL has nothing on its website (which I thought was weird), the Sporting News has this in one of their articles (from the 5th of this month)
"Can NHL teams make a deal after the trade deadline?
While there is a specific deadline for trades, teams can still acquire players from other clubs after March 8. The caveat is that any player traded after the deadline is not eligible to play in any regular season or playoff games for their new teams."

Marskstrom out with hurt feelings?
Joke. I’m in the keep him next year camp but in the minority for sure.

Markstrom has done nothing but play his ass off for us through an uncertain time for him, his family and his teammates.
I'm quite certain he's out with because he's legitimately hurt.

Not totally the same but I remember when we traded to get Dean McAmmond back (prior to the trade deadline), he was ineligible to play for us for the rest of the regular season.

Are the Wranglers going to make the playoffs though? They keep on sliding down the standings.

They traded him to Colorado three days before the waiver draft deadline and then re-acquired him. Had they traded him a month before they would have been ok.

Yes we did. We traded David Jones and got Nicklas Backstrom and a 6th round pick which we used to select Matthew Phillips.... wait.... I think I know why Scorp likes Phillips so much.
