Or the person who was potentially victimized is NOT his wife and this is going to get uglier, much quicker for him.

I prefer not to read between the lines, speculate, or gossip about what might have happened.
It seems the situation is being handled. It sounds serious and I hope everyone is okay.

To be clear, that quote is from his 2011 incident with the police. The current one sounds even more serious since he was actually arrested this time.

Literally all we know at this point is that Lucic was arrested for a domestic incident and is taking an indefinite leave from the team.
If you're "reading between the lines" or passing judgement on that information it's time to go find a mirror.

A lifetime of fighting will literally make you do crazy ####.
Hope Looch and his family get the support and treatment every one of them need.

Maybe there were ghosts in Boston. Maybe what that hotline rings, that can only mean one thing. Wifey finds out. Or maybe Lucic finds out. Add some alcohol for both. There's a big fight. Police called. He gets arrested.
The fact he's taking a leave of absence from Bruins would usually imply guilt. But in the context where he's only dressed for four games, its probably about reducing the distraction for the team.
There's a lot of scenarios where this doesn't involve him hitting his wife. I'll withhold judgement for now.

Meh, I don't hope the best for anyone in particular here. We don't know the story of what led to the incident, so no point in wasting sweet nothings on anyone involved. He was once a good hockey player who was likeable in the media. That's all.

Other than the obvious thoughts hoping everyone is okay and this is properly dealt with, I can't help but wonder how Boston will get out of his cap hit. I assume the only logical outcome is this somehow opens up about $4mil in cap space for the Bruins and at the same time $2mil magically opens up for the Oilers and the Flames lose about $3mil in cap space. It's really he only logical thing the league can do.

Come on guys...rich white men don't get arrested for no reason
I'm gonna go ahead and jump to conclusions. What a dumbass, glad he isn't a member of the Flames anymore but I bet all the news outlets will have a picture of him in his Flames gear for the story. I already saw an article the said "former Calgary Flame" not current Bruin

He only make a million on his new contract.
I’m sure the Oilers will owe the flames a 2nd somehow though

Hopefully, this incident is not that serious and they are just being cautious because Milan is a public figure

What? He signed a one year deal at $1M with the Bruins. What do the Flames and Oilers have anything to do with it?

Sarcastic joke about how certain teams seem to be able to straight up violate the cap without any repercussions, and how the Flames are not one of those teams.
