It's going to be cool to see the Flames on 24/7. Does Detroit have anybody that can chuck knuckles with McGrattan? Tootoo is in the lineup tonight, and he is as feisty as anybody, but that is a serious size mismatch.

They're pals as well. McGrattan helped get him sober.
Bertuzzi? God I'd love to see that. Maybe Kindl? He drops the gloves sometimes

I will look for you guys. I will be in section 121. I was uberpissed when i was told to take a business trip to Detroit the week before Xmas. When I realized the Flames were going to be there at the same time:

nice to hear about brodie having a lot of fans in the building tonight, hope he has a great game and enjoys it.
i actually think this might be a very tough game. Yes, the wings have been bad lately and are banged up, but you have to think the wings staff/players are looking at this one (lowly flames team) as a must-win against a bad team. I think they will be very hungry.
Go flames Go.

Not as much movement on the lines then as expected, with Hartley saying the trade line would be broken up.

If Flames play 60 min like they played at the start of each game against Boston, then they can win this one.

For everyone hating on the wings, as it's already been said, I don't think it has anything to do with them being a bad team. Injuries have seriously made it hard for them in the last stretch.
I actually like the look of our forward lines tonight and like Byron with Monahan, since he's been pretty hot lately. I'm looking forward to a good game!
I'm going to predict a 3-2 win for the Flames. Unfortunately we still get outshot so though and it seems we just take our opportunities.

I hope they win, don't care about Ekblad, they need to be rewarded for their hard work because while we've been busting our asses and losing the rest of the league has gained a lot of respect for the work ethic. Hopefully they can keep playing like they have been for a long time, insert some new pieces and finally get back on the right track in a year or two.

Liking those lines.
Glencross with Stajan and Stempniak was always a better combination than having Cammy there.
And Cammy has shown some chemistry with Backlund at times in the past.
Hopefully Byron's speed complements Hudler and Monahan.
Zetterberg has always been a Flame killer so hopefully his absence will help.
Best of luck to Brodie having a big game in front of the clan. Lived in Chatham for a couple years - really liked the town.

All via tweets from Ansar Khan,
Zetterberg skating with team for first time in more than 2 weeks. Had skated on his own a few times.
Abdelkader skating again. Franzen and Nyquist are not skating. Howard was on ice earlier but not ready to practice yet.
Wings skating with these lines: Jurco-Datsyuk-Alfredsson, Miller-Andersson-Tatar, Cleary-Glendening-Eaves, Bertuzzi-Sheahan-Tootoo.
Samuelsson appears to be a healthy scratch. Eaves takes his place at right point on 2nd PP unit. Sheahan up front on 2nd PP unit.

Looks like Gustavsson starts in net for Detroit.

That third line looks like 3 potential McGrattan punching bags

Sigh. Money Hands relegated to 4th line duty, dragging Hudler with him. Damn you Hartley!

He still has two good linemates. 4th line or not. Better than him being between Bouma and McGrattan.
