Kind of sucks that the Senators have lost 4 in a row as the Flames seem to be the tonic for struggling players, first goals, milestone goals, teams first wins, etc. Who's in a scoring slump for the Senators?
Bob (Hartley) told me at the beginning of the season that our line is going to be circled against other teams,” Gaudreau was saying early Monday in New York. “When they’re talking about the other teams, they’re going to be talking about our line … last year at the beginning of the year, we kind of went unnoticed.”
“Me and Sean, we were two younger guys and everyone knew who Jiri was,” Gaudreau said. “But because of how we played last year, it’s obviously going to be tougher to play other teams.
“Last year, I didn’t notice it as much. But you can tell as the season started, other teams are matching different lines against us.”
“I’ve had a good start here, but it’s team success,” the 22-year-old pointed out. “It’s not where we want to be. It’s not all about personal goals, it’s more about the team right now.
“We need to come together and get a little stronger … this is a new learning experience, starting out like this.”
Ortio
Quote:
“Yeah, you could say that,” Joni Ortio said. “But is has to be a team effort. We all need to be better here. We know we can win games. We’ve proved it. We’re just struggling to put together a solid 60 minutes right now.”
Hartley
Quote:
“We’ve played good parts of games,” said Flames head coach Bob Hartley. “We need to be consistent … as we know, we had a great season last year and made the playoffs on the second-last game (versus Los Angeles)."
"We know about urgency. That’s one thing, we’re fortunate. We’re coaching good people and they care. But obviously they’re very frustrated. We’re better than this.”

Just getting ready to drive to Ottawa with my girlfriend for the game. Last year we watched one of the most exciting games I've seen live before. Hoping this one is a little less stressful and involves 2 pts rather than one. Our seats are along the glass in the sens end...it'd be nice to have the play there for the two periods the flames are shooting that way. GFG
I live in Kanata and when the Flames play Ottawa it's the only game I get to see live. Last year's game was insane and probably the most exciting game I've seen live in years. I'm just hoping for a good game where we don't get embarrassed at this point. I'll be in attendance with several friends who are all Sens fans.

Not worried at all, this team went on an 8 game losing streak last year and still made the show. Tonight is the beginning of a 10 game winning streak, book it.

Don't really care who starts in net , but whoever it is .......please no soft goals.
I'm not saying goaltending is the reason we are losing, but this team needs a goaltender to step up and post a 1 GAA for the next 3-5 games, while the rest of the team figures out what to do.
I hope for no soft goals either.
But contrary to that, we NEED secondary scoring to step up and help bail out our goaltender once in a while. Can't really fault goaltending when we can't score more then 1.78 g/g. Time for the supposed ''best defence in the league'' to step up big time, get the forwards the puck.
And for God Jesus sake, START SHOOTING THE PUCK!!!
Brazeau did a one-night gig as a wrestling ref while suspended from the Senate. It's ridiculous and not-at-all relevant, but anything to break the losing streak...
