Stamkos would be a good choice.

There's also the high probability that EA hasn't approached him yet to be the cover athlete. Wait for another time where is popularity would be a very high level for all the casual sports fans out there. If the Olympics and winning the Stanley Cup within the past year do anything, NHL 11 would be the right year to be the kid on the cover. It is the NHL series 20th year upcoming as well.

The 20th anniversary, Stanley Cup, Gold medal. Only 22 bloody years old.
He is more than perfect.
If it goes to some fruit I will be so disappointed.

I`m hoping for Miller... fantastic season/Olympic performance, my favorite player, and would be the first Sabre to get on the cover. Besides, they need to have another goalie on the cover, it's been forever since there was one.

Yeah Miller wouldn't be a bad one either cause John Vanbiesbrouck was the 1st single player/goalie to be the cover boy for NHL. It might help out with the marketing of the game in the States too!!!

They're saving that for the London 2012 game coming up in a couple years.

I still think it will be and should be Miller; Crosby would also be a decent choice, but don't think it will be him. I just got thinking and they might put the Sedins on it (have they ever put two players on at once? doubt it.). Unfortunately the Sedins are having a pretty good year so it is an option.
Miller having a solid year
Crosby having an average year (as far as Crosby years go)
Sedins having solid years.
I don't know how much stock EA is going to put into the Olympics considering the game is NHL11 not Olympic Hockey. Thus I doubt we will see any Olympic image on the cover.

NHL 11 should have an Olympic mode, not some EA world tournament thing.

I realllllly hope they ditch the 'fake shot' (quarter swing back on the deke stick), it ruins so many chances when you get stuck in the animation of it. Board play needs some tuning, I used to sit behind the net all the time battling back and forth to set someone up, now its instant glue to the board by a computer.
FREE FOR ALL MODE, how good was that in 2007ish. 4 player, half ice rules, 1 goalie..
