i'm not ready to bet against a zombie daughter storyline yet. remember how long the Governor looked at the photo of his family. maybe he is experimenting with the heads, to try and find a way to reverse the zombification and save his daughter. i wouldn't be surprised if we find her shackled up somewhere later in the season

The Doctor seems to be quite a bit creepier as well, not like we can hear a voice through words in the comic, but the vibe he gives off when he talks was weird.
You do see him semi-shake his head towards the end of the episode after the Governor says something to Merle near him, so maybe he will still side with Andreas team... maybe he is the specialist that will replace Hershell if he gets double bit like Dale did.
This tea thing also has me intrigued, I don't remember that from the comics at all.. but it was a while ago I read this part.

In the comics they see the chopper go down while they are at the prison and go to investigate. Rick, Michonne, & Glenn are captured by the governor. That's the first time you see him. He chops off Rick's hand, rapes Michonne, beats Glenn and makes him watch/listen to what he's doing to Michonne. That's how he finds out about the prison.
I thought the zombie wall was in the comics as well and I think we'll see the daughter later. That's, imo, why the "doctor" is experimenting on them, studying them. I am also of the opinion that the "doctor" will mirror the sociopath that killed Herschel's daughters in the prison...he'll be "that guy".

It was cool that the show picked up on the fact that Michonne had neutered her zombies and they protected her. The idea got swept under the rug pretty quick in the comics, but now I'm wondering if a fortified position surrounded by leashed and neutered zombies would work, or if they'll try it in the show.

Just watched a preview for this weeks episode, along with some comments from Norman Redus (Darryl) about how the cast and crew watched this weeks episode and that there wasn't a dry eye in the house...Things are going to get crazy.
I really think Lori is done this week, they have really been building up the relationship with her and Rick. I think the payoff will be her dying during child birth or during the walker attack from the mystery person opening the gates. They keep showing how rocky Rick and Lori are right now and if they kill her off they can have Rick realize how much he did love her which could be really emotional...Extra bonus, after that Rick can have his crazy phone to Lori like in the comics. I don't know, makes sense to me but what do you guys think?

Well if there wasn't a dry eye in the house who else could die that would cause a strong reaction?
Carl....But I really hope they don't kill him, I really like the way they are developing him.
Carol...I guess it could be emotional, but I don't see it.
T-Dawg...Easy choice to kill off, not a huge role in the group but it wouldn't be emotional.
Beth...Don't see it, Carl needs her.
Maggie or Glen...Either one would be emotional, I like both so I really hope it isn't either of them.
Darryl...I don't even want to go there, next to Rick he's the best.

I'm thinking that the woman doctor who was treating Andrea at the start of the episode will be the sympathetic doctor like in the comics & agree that the weird surgeon is likely to be the crazy creeper psychopath that we originally saw in the comics at the prison.
The whole tea thing is so curious to me - on the Talking Dead they made it sound like it was just an inside joke with one of the writers but I wonder if there won't be something more sinister too.
I'm waiting to see if they really do settle in at the prison, plant crops etc before being forced to leave. I can see the confrontation between Rick & the Governor being the climax for this season altho it's possible that they won't get there with how much ground they have to cover still this season.

I don't think anyone has to die to make it emotional. It might just be a really sad scene showing the moral degradation that is happening. Maybe the governor does torture and rape Michonne after she refuses to fight for him. In the previews she finds fresh blood on the military vehicles and he says "we could use a fighter like you". Maybe he does it to Andrea and makes Michonne watch/listen ala Glenn from the comics.
Also in the previews for this week it looks like someone is baiting the walkers by placing fresh meat on the ground. Whoever it is is black and quite thin, maybe that one guy got away...we never see him get killed it only sounds like it.

So from the scenes from next week it shows them going on a formula run for the kid, I bet that is how Darryl ends up hooking up with Merle.

I'm really looking forward to Darryl & Merle meeting up again...it should be interesting to see whether he tries to lure Darryl to Woodbury and that's how the group learns that Andrea's alive (and at the same time that's how the Governor learns of the prison).

I know there is already a Martinez in Woodbury, but it just seems like Andrea is going to take his spot. She really seems to be falling under the Govenor's spell and she is easily manipulated.
Any chance she is the spy for the Govenor later on?

i don't see how they could do the whole Governor attacking the prison bit from the comics. in the TV series the prison is a ####hole while Woodbury looks like paradise. why would the Governor try to take over the prison? they have very few weapons or supplies and half of the prison is still overrun by zombies. i'm thinking that arc is going to have to take a very different turn

during the Governor's attack, she and the baby get shot by some random Woodbury woman (who later then shoots the Governor for making them kill a mother and child)

I assume he will take over the prison for the same reason he attacked the military. He wants the resources they have and doesn't want a larger group attacking Woodbury.
Plus it's only Episode 4, there could be a lot of things that change and time passing between now and the Governor attacking the prison.

Did anyone else pick up on the Governor saying "...it's only me and my daughter now." when he was talking to Andrea over drinks?

Yes! There is hope for the zombie daughter thread - it also looks like we'll see the zombie fights in the arena too. Can't wait for next week!
