Played Lakeview at Chestermere and they have water in the bunkers which gives going to the beach a new meaning.

Leaving for a trip on Thursday that will see nine courses knocked off my bucket list. Playing Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani North and South, Hapuna, Waikoloa Beach, Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill, Pebble Beach and Pasatiempo. Thinking of adding Poppy Hills as well, but that will be a last minute thing. Really looking forward to this. Trip of a lifetime, to date.

Played Angus Glen North Course in Markham, ON yesterday. Nice course, reminded me a lot of some Alberta courses actually. Lots of fescue. The only bad part was the inconsistency of the greens.

They had that fantastic deal back from last year (but it's done now);

$120 for 18-Hole Round of Golf & Cart for 2 with $50 Worth of Food & Drink at Lakeside Golf Club

Hard to beat!

Look out for it next year..

No doubt, is this a tour that you joined or something you lined up yourself?

http://www.golfskypro.com/skypro

Just bought and received this Skypro swing analysis thingy. It gives you a lot of data on your golf swing. The setup is easy but you have to calibrate it everytime you change clubs. For example, I learned that my takeaway is very inside and at the top my wrist is very bowed.

It doesn't replace a coach but if you know what a golf swing should look like this is a good tool to have when you are not hitting well. It gives you instant feedback and valuable tips on what to correct when you don't have a coach around.

It only gives data on the club path so it couldn't tell me if I'm swaying or not transferring my weight correctly. But I guess you will need a biometric suite for that.

Did it all myself. And incredible amount of work, but should be worth it. One more sleep!

Enjoy it, really envious. I have trouble convincing my friends to golf Shaganappi with me, let alone going to Hawaii and CA to play all these courses.

4 was 167 I think, front pin. 9 was 170,back pin.Came up 5' short on 4 and had to have almost lipped out on 9 to come to rest where it did.Couldn't see it though. and then had to sink an 8' putt on 15 for a quad.Par on 11 from the low depression, short right.

3 par 5 over 600 yds, 1 par 5 at 579 yds, 1 par 3 at 260 yrds, all from the tips I suppose but this is a long course.

2 of the 3 par 5's over 600 will be reachable. They will be driving the ball 400+ at this elevation.

you will just have to buy those clubs that provide you with explosive distance from the tee

I prefer an anti gravity machine that allows me to reach the 600 yd green in 1 with a putter.

Got an email from Silverwing that Wilderness Club in Montana is having a promo - 3 Day 2 nights weekend stay, 3 rounds of Golf with cart for USD $299. Good for 2 adults and 2 kids, and the catch is you have to sit through a 90 minutes presentation (kind of like the timeshare ones I guess).
