Acolatse from Tousignant

Tous took the puck off the guy behind the net, and fed it out in front where Acolatse happened to be and he backhanded it five hole on Ellis.

Oh, Acolaste is going to owe Ortio dinner for that. Acolaste accidently takes a shot on Ortio trying to get a play set up.

PP over but the Flames had some great chances. Acolaste is playing quite well tonight.

Ellis is still fumbling the puck. If I was the San Antonio defence, I wouldn't let him touch the puck much at all. That's an accident waiting to happen there.

The Flames have been the better team thus far.

Knight with a nifty little backhand, leg flippy shot on net on Ellis and he makes the save.

The Rampage, less their shaky goalie, are playing fairly well.

Lots of shots on net, lots of plays broken up.

There's been games where the Flames have 16 shots the entire game.

Flames PBP Guy will have Taylor Vause in the booth for the 2nd period.

More often then not, these are actually better broadcasts with players in the booth. Van Brabant was awesome!

Huska Interview:

Rampage are a very good team. Feels like they are an elite team because of the speed they can play the game at. They can generate a lot of offense.

Would like the Flames to be defensively responsible, but San Antonio will push the pace. Wants the Flames to win 2-1 or 3-2 in order to demonstrate that defensive responsibility and able to shut down the fast teams like Rampage.

Rampage have 3 lines able to generate offense. Flames need to have 5 guys working together in order to stop them. It's a team effort to get the win for this game, not one or two guys just stepping up.

Very happy with the result in Rochester. Played the same way they did against Utica and were rewarded for that effort in Rochester. Showed character and pride in playing defensively.

Flames need to stay out of penalty box tonight. If they end up short handed, they need to be willing to pay the price and block shots to keep streak going.

The schedule will be slowing down after this week. Only one or two weekend games for the next 3 weeks. They will have alot of practice time to work on some things that they have on the list. Want to mix things up in practice so it's not like Groundhog's Day. Want to keep compete level up.

Impressive opening period by the Flames. They were really getting in on the forecheck and causing a lot of turnovers. Thought Baertschi was particularly good on the forecheck in the first.

Agostino was protecting the puck well on the boards. Nice finish by Acolatse too.
