Meh, that sounds like a lot of effort. I suspect Life Couch is a much easier path with the same clientele.

I was really happy with my lawyer. I knew my divorce was going to be coming because I found out some stuff. Instead of losing my ####, I got this lawyer on a recommendation from a friend. She advised me and coached me on what to do going forward. She saved me a ton of headache. When it came time for the actual divorce she did exactly what I asked. She didn't push me in any way to go after more, just did exactly what I asked. I got shared custody and what I feel was a completely fair settlement and it was done painlessly. My ex didn't like some items, but who cares.

My brother had the opposite experience. He started with her, but left her because he didn't hear what he wanted to hear. She told him there was no way he'd get custody of his daughter. He got a different lawyer who told my brother everything he wanted to hear. Kept pushing him to go for more and more. In the end my brother lost custody of his daughter, and he went bankrupt because of lawyer's fees. The worst part was that his ex then moved to Ontario with his daughter.

Keep your eyes open guys. I overheard this at work:
“Hey Dennis, where’re you moving to?”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“Your wife has the women’s ball team helping her load up a uhaul with furniture.”

When Dennis got home all there was left was a frying pan and a broken lawnmower.

When I used to work at a moving company, we would get moves once or twice a month where the wife would just say we had to be done by such and such a time because that's when her husband got off work.

Why did they break the lawnmower?

Diana Richmond at Richmond Tymchuk is fantastic… for a lawyer. She got the results i was looking for. Expensive AF though but worth it… i went with a cheaper lawyer at first before i decided to switch and it turns out you get what you pay for. She takes credit cards for payment so at least i’ll get a trip out of it with all the points i got.
