Zeno Renewables (Zeno) will be the Official Title Partner of the Calgary Surge through the 2023 and 2024 seasons in a one-of-a-kind, six-figure annual deal, the team announced Wednesday.
...
As part of the two-year Title Partnership, the Zeno logo will be featured on all official Calgary Surge New Era player jersey kits beginning in the upcoming 2023 inaugural season. Fans can expect Zeno to be a mainstay presence on game days at WinSport Event Centre and across all Surge online channels. The Surge and Zeno will also partner on year-round initiatives that support each organization's volunteer and philanthropic activities across Calgary.
Pretty big corporate sponsor coming on board.

Single game tickets on sale now. Just picked up two for the home opener on May 27.
Seems as though the Surge followed the Cavalry FC pricing formula, yet there is surprisingly very few seats currently available on Ticketmaster right now.
Today's game was awesome! The Surge organization should be proud of how well today went for them, The only hiccup that I noticed was the absence of a Land Acknowledgement, the anthem singer struggling with "Oh Canada", and then the teams went back to the warm up for another 10 minutes.
After that, everything seemed to run smoothly to me, including parking and driving out of Winsport after the game ended. Plus, they got the all important win, but how they ended the game was a bit of a surprise. When they announced that the Target Score was 74 points, I just assumed it was a promotional thing. I hadn't heard of the "Elam Ending" before today, and once I saw how it was used, I thought it was brilliant. It prevented the constant fouling you often see at the end of a game. Apparently the guy who came up with it is a member of MENSA.
The venue is the perfect size as well. The Wranglers & Hitmen should consider playing there, but I do understand why CSEC chooses to use the Saddledome for these two teams

Oh, didn't realize they use the Elam Ending in CEBL! Yeah, I agree, I think it's a really clever innovation.

There was a Land Acknowledgement, it was shortly before the anthems.
And personally I thought it was better than what CESC put together because it was done using their own voice. They had indigenous peoples talking about the land and it's use, rather than the regular Flames rink announcer.

Glad to hear this, even though I clearly didn't on Saturday!
Watching the highlights of the last two games--man, if I was following more closely, my butt cheeks would have been clenched. They had to come back big in the game away at Edmonton and then against Niagara they blew a 15 point lead and came back and won it late again...
Going for Father's Day, so excited to check it out. Does the target score change or is it always the same number? How do they determine the number if it changes?

At the first stoppage of time past 4:00 in the 4th Quarter, the target score is set by adding 9 points to the leading team's score and only the 24 second clock is used. Whichever team gets to the target score first wins the game.
So if the Surge have a 5 point lead when the target score is set, the Surge would have to score 9 points to get the "W" before the other team scores 14 points.

Make sure to get there early for all the pre-game stuff outside - beer garden, merch, free Guru, games etc.
