Family Sharing is pretty useful, multi-user login on iPads would have been better.

Full parental controls with app access lists would have been nice too.

Apple has been bashing their competitors at these things for years. They're just following the Steve model. If they do it more now, it's because they actually have competition now.

edit: and there's swype.

Cook doesn't have the charisma or charm to pull it off though. When Job's did it, it always came across well, he was smarmy enough. Cook comes across as a petulant bitter whiny child.

I suppose I don't see that. Steve was cool, but when you want to talk about whiny children... well that was Steve. He cried when he didn't get his way. Cried.

I loved the part where they mentioned how nearly 50% of OS X users have upgraded to Mavericks while only 14% of Windows machines are on Windows 8 - I bet that doesn't include 8.1.

"Hey guys, look at how many users [as a percentage] installed our free update versus this paid, major OS revision over here. We're so awesome."

They didn't use the raw numbers for a reason.

Well duh. It's their own keynote. Of course they use stats to their advantage.
