...and so it begins. Vet gets a little banged up, sits out and a younger guy takes his place.
If the Flames were in the playoff hunt you be safe betting that Engelland would be playing tonight.
I like it.
Would like to see Stajan and Bollig go "day to day" for a few games and get Agostino and Hamilton up here on an "emergency" basis.

LOL was just going over this.
Average age of 18 skaters and starting goalie is 25.1 years
Only two guys over 30 and that's Gio/Stajan at 32, plus Stajan will probably only play 10-12 minutes.

Wotherspoon and Nakladal back again is pretty exciting. Those two work pretty well together.

The league made its decision a loooong time ago. The process to get to the mediator is what has taken the most time.

Sorry to nit-pick, but I get an average age of 25.7 (and 26.1 when Hller is included as the backup)
Our opening night D core were 29.5 (29.6 with Smid). Tonight they are 26.2. That's a pretty big change.

Has Wotherspoon been on for an even strength goal against yet? I think he has been really solid and like him moving forward in that bottom pairing. Actually, I really like the looks of the D for tonights game.

Right, tactical move by the league to uphold the suspension I suppose. I recall someone mentioning other sports allow players to continue to play while appealing their suspension.
