I'm surprised by the love for cold garden. I find their beer...bad. but that's just my taste, and can appreciate others and/or that I may be wrong. Just, for me, so many better tasting alternatives out there to go to instead...

Love The Establishment, can't go wrong with beer and Glamorgan bakery cheese buns.
Big fan of Cabin as well.

Annex is pretty decent. I really like their ginger beer when they use it in their dark and stormy. The root beer is another favorite, along with the empire burgers. Just keep your mitts off the root beer cookies, those are mine!

Annex is my favourite, especially now with Lil' empire slinging burgers and hot dogs. After that, I'd say Dandy, which is high quality everything. Then my third would be Highline in Inglewood, which is smaller but has some real gems. '88 is pretty good for pizza, but I found their beer kinda meh.

The beer can be hit and miss, but I’ve found a couple I really like and I just go straight to those now when I’m there.
Friday/Saturday nights? No thanks, but it’s a nice spot to have a casual beer or two after work on a weeknight or before a Flames game.

If we're doing the food / beer pairing, Two House on 10th ave downtown has a hell of a menu of BBQ on weekends... the smoked bqcon wrapped stuffed Jalapenos are pretty unbeatable.

Unfortunately the BBQ was only available during the summer. Right now they have extremely limited food options. I still go there fairly often because it's the only brewery within walking distance of my house but the beers aren't anything special. They are fine, but I wouldn't put them at the top of the list for local brews.

Great new thread folks!
My favorite right now are:
Citizen (Highly underrated beer and food in my opinion)
Zero Issue (Very good beer and some of the my favorite artwork on their packaging. Lots of board games and a couple arcades. Only simple snacks offered, but they allow outside food)
Dandy Brewing (Great beer although a bit pricey. Really good food that is way outside of your typical pub fair).
88 Brewing (Good beer, good crowd. Sneaky good pizza. I should probably cross post in the Pizza thread)

No love for Last Best?
Food sucks there but always new beers and some good regulars.

Sunny Cider is kind of out of the way in a NE strip Mall, but it is a nice room, and they have regular music trivia nights.

If you're up for a day trip, Blindman Brewing in Lacombe is worth the drive. Add in a meal at Cilantro & Chive and you win.
**Spelling - Blindman is NOT bland...

Yeah Blindman makes some quality beers.
Also you can stop in at Troubled Monk in Dead Rear as well.

Love me some Dandy, great beers there (especially the Oyster Stout). Also, Two House Brewing, Cabin, Revival and Elite are places I'm as fan of as well.

Another good road trip is down to Turner Valley to visit Fahr Brewery. The tap room is tiny but the beer is fantastic. Eau Claire Distillery is down the street. Hard Knox Brewery is around the corner by Black Diamond.

Prairie Dog has awesome food! I like the branding and location there too. I've only been to 88 once but loved it due to the retro theme and Nintendo you can play with all the sweet games. Actually considering going there for my birthday this year for that reason.
I'm a big fan of Wild Rose beer as well. The physical location and outside appearance of the brewery isn't great, but the beer itself is.

Brewsters.
They revamped the place, but still have a large selection of great beers.

One of the best things about breweries is that they are kid friendly. I can find a good beer anywhere at any of these places and they appreciate that I'm not getting loser drunk while my kid is with me.
My favourite breweries beer wise are Born Colorado and Annex. Ol' Beautiful and 88 have the best vibe. Wild Rose and Paddy's have the best food. The only breweries I have not been a fan of are OT and Inner City.
I live 3 blocks from Marda Loop so I am there quite frequently. They are a little pricier (specifically their 6 packs) but do some good beer, particularly their grapefruit blonde. In fact, I'm filling up there before the BOA tonight.
